89 days, Now What Riu Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies!

At this point, what should I have prepared? I know that there's paperwork to be sent off but I haven't heard from Chandlynn and I want to make sure that I have everything in order.

Please let me know what I should be doing these last 90 days, I woke up this morning and got very nervous...

I guess there could be lots but it depends on how detailed you're planning is and how much you already have done!

As far as the Riu itself, the things that I've done recently are order my white calla lillies, confirmed my photographer, inquired about a videographer, and I'm getting my Welcome bag items packed in a suitcase.

At the end of this week I'll be emailing my WC cause as far as I know she hasn't received my documents yet. I will email her the scanned copies of the notarized documents just in case she doesn't get them in the mail on time. (a little nervous about that)

I'm sure there's something I've forgotten so it'll be nice to see some of the things other brides add to the list!

happy planning!

I too am interested in what else I should be doing. I have exactly 60 days. I sent my docs to Chandyln at the beginning of February. I haven't heard yet, that they have gotten there. I am starting to get nervous. I sent them certified so someone in Jamaica needs to sign for it. I should get a receipt then saying it was received but nothing yet. sad.gif

I confirmed the videographer. And requested where I want the reception. But other than that, Chandyln said she would contact me before I left about setting up a meeting time with her.

I am slowly trying to pack also.

I guess what I'm asking is where you were in the planning process at this point...

Were the invites sent out?

Fittings scheduled? Etc...

I have the big items, flowers, photog, dinner and ceremony booked, but its the little things that can be forgotten. Just looking for advice from brides that are past the 60 day mark! Teehee!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
