Any last minute advice??????

Recommended Posts

Well, it is one week before my wedding (Feb.14), I am getting married on the beach at Riu, Ocho Rios @11am. We will arrive in Ocho Rios on Feb. 11th. I am still a little nervous about all the details being worked out so quickly. We originally had planned to have only another couple come with us, but now we have a party of 10 with the bride and groom. I have read so many reviews from other ROR brides and feel somewhat confident things will just all fall into place, however I know that Chandlyn is very busy and I have sent her e-mails only to receive a confirmation that all details will be worked out upon my arrival. Do I track her downhuh.gif, does she get in contact with mehuh.gif how long does it take to finalize all details?? what about any extra costshuh.gif,

So you see, I guess I am a bit nervous.. My FH tries to reassure me it will all be good... but, still nervous...Any last minute advise from ROR brideshuh.gif

Email Chandlyn and suggest a meeting day and time(her office is right beside the washrooms by the main bar but on the side closest to the front desk)..right on the corner, there are stairs leading up) This is what I did ..I had my appointment with her scheduled before I left. The details only take about 15 minutes to iron out (aka the appt with her is not very long). Extra costs depends on what you wanna do...extra decorations for the gazebo, upgrades to flowers, aisle runners, flower petals, receptions stuff like that all costs extra. I would suggest you get her to take you through a small rehersal just so you know what is going to happen.

For music and stuff (if you are making a cd) you may want a song for your MOH and one for yourself. If you are entering by the bar (aka not stayin in junior suites) its a decent walk.

Just remember ..its your wedding, you are in jamaica and marrying the man of your dreams! Don't sweat the little things and enjoy your day cause it goes very fast!

Hope this helps and looking forward to your review :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
