Hi ladies - I'm looking at  and they make copies of original bridesmaid and bridal dresses. I love Amsale bridesmaid dresses but they are pretty expensive. On this site you can get them made for less than $200. Has anyone shopped here before? I'm wondering what the quality is like. Also, I may get my TTD dress on there if they really are decent quality.

I would be wary of places that sell copies. First off, counterfeit items are generally illegal to buy, sell, and own, especially if they're being sold as like "Amsale" dresses. Some clothing items aren't considered unique enough to qualify under trade dress laws without their label, but if a site is telling you that it is a specific designer's design, it may be actionable. If it does fall in the realm of illegal business, you can't go after them for your goods or money back if they don't perform the services you expect from them.

Secondly, part of the reason why wedding dresses vary so much in price is because of the quality of materials used. It may look similar to an Amsale dress, but it's probably made with a much cheaper fabric or with many more visible flaws. I don't know if I would trust someone willing to rip off another person's work with the biggest day of my life.

I think you'd be better off buying a sample or a used dress.

I don't know of anyone who has used that specific site, there are LOTS of them. Another option is to find a local seamstress so you can actually see their work, alot of times they just have a fee if you buy all of the fabric and they make it for your body. And you'd be able to go in as its being made and make sure its okay and fits.

I got my wedding dress from them. They had a great, modern collection & their seamstresses are amazing. My dress was very fitted and simple, just needed some alterations to fit perfectly. The final product looked gorgeous, you would never be able to tell there was any work done to it.The sales representative was really friendly and helpful!
