My aunt has offered to throw me a family shower (I have a huge family) and my BMs are hosting a friend shower.

I'd like to invite my BMs to my family shower but don't want them to bring a gift. I also don't want it to come across as tacky. I just thought it would be nice for them to be there and meet my family if they were able to attend.

Is it OK to send them an invite and personally tell them NOT to bring a gift, just come and be a part of the event?

Plus, having your bridesmaids there will give your family a chance to meet them prior to the wedding! I know a lot of my family members have no idea who my maids are (well, except for the sister/maid), but would love to meet them.

I think that sounds great I think that is very nice of you- as a bm I have gone to various showers and bought many gifts.

            Good luck to you!
