ROR Room help: Access for Standard vs. Jr. Suites

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me if those staying in standard rooms have different access to parts of the resort then those staying in the Jr. Suites? 8 of our guests have booked standard rooms and the other 17 are in Jr. Suites. I know that those in standard rooms have less access to a couple of restaurants, but is that the only difference? Are the standard rooms and suites located pretty far from each other? I'm just hoping that there isn't too much difference between the two types of rooms as some of our more "important" guests (not the right word but you know what I mean :) like all my BMs, the best man and FI's mother & her husband are all in standards.

I would ask my TA but she is off for two weeks for surgery :S.

The standard rooms and suites are in separate horseshoes on opposite sides of the resort. There are a couple of restaurants that have exclusive access for people staying in the suites. Mammee Bay is one of those restaurants (for dinner) but wedding receptions are exempt from the requirement. I don't think it would have been a big deal if my guests were spread out between suites and standard rooms. We only ate one meal at the a la carte restaurants.

There is no difference except for the restaurants. My sister (MOH) stayed in a standard room and the BM & my hubby and I stayed in the jr. suites - deluxe wing.

The only issue we had was meeting up..if I couldn't get a hold of my sister and I decided to go the pool she would have to come searching for me etc. But she was the only one in the standard wing.

If you have 7 rooms booked in standard rooms everyone should be able to meet up with no issues wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
