I know where I'm staying for my next Mexico vacation. I could never find really great pics of Le Blanc when I was doing research. Thanks for the posting the pictures!

hello!

I was considering having my wedding at leblanc. I was all ready to seriously start booking and then found that little one liner on the website "adult only resort", which sort of eliminated it for us. However my aunt lives in Cancun and is involved with tourism there and guests have only had amazing things to say in regard to the hotel.

Hi I'm new to all this and am thinking of booking with one of the palace resorts. At the Le Blanc Spa Resort do you get the same promotions as the Moon palace? We are having between 60-80 people and it's says you get unlimited private functions when you have over 25 rooms. Any information you could give me about either hotel I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi! Congrats on your engagement! I don't know what promotions they have...they do have some though you'd have to ask. I only had 24 people and mabye only 8 of them stayed at the resort because they had points/deals at other resorts on the strip. My friend got married at Moon Palace...she showed me her wedding video. It's nice and Moon palace is huge with lots of restaurants/activities to choose from. Le Blanc is very intimate but not crowded but only has a few restaurants to choose from. With either resort you can go to any of the other palace resorts and eat/drink for free. Also, with both resorts they have a lot of included trips you can go on. Moon Palace is further away from downtown Cancun but you can get a bus/taxi from either hotel. Really what it comes down to is Le Blanc is more expensive but is elegent (but not stuffy). Moon Palace has hundreds of weddings and is nice but a lot more casual. I really liked that I was the only bride during my entire 7 day stay. I was very pampered and the planner was there to make sure everything was perfect. It was the perfect combination of beach wedding with elegance. Let me know if there's anything specific you have any questions about! Good luck on your decision. Either way you and your guest will have a great time!

We did AS for our wedding and Le Blanc for our honeymoon. Honestly, with the prices, I don't think anyone could have stayed at Le Blanc with us if we had our wedding there...and I really wanted to hang out with my guests before and after the wedding so having them stay somewhere else wasn't that appealing to me.

Le Blanc is AWESOME though and if budget isn't an issue for your guests, or you don't mind them staying at other resorts and if you don't have any kids coming I would do it!

Oh, and yes Bluesun, they have a lot of the same promotions as they do at Moon Palace...I think things are just more expensive at Le Blanc. I think with 25 rooms, you do get unlimited private functions. Your guests can stay at Moon Palace but will have to pay $80-$130 day passes to come to the wedding. Like katken said, they may not be appealing to you. I know the accommodations at Le Blanc are higher than Moon Palace. As soon as my TA gets back to me, I will let you know!

Hello Heidi,

Glad you hear that you had an amazing experience at Le Blanc. I have been researching as well and am getting a little over whelmed as there is so much to choose from. I like Le Blanc because my fiance and I both have very modern taste and want our wedding to reflect us. I have some questions for you and would love to see your pics. We have about 30 guests coming. I think the packages are great for what they provide but I am a little hesitant because seems like the cost for room is very pricey. I would hate to have my guests paying $500 + for hotel. Aside from the windy affecting the actual Wedding location, was the entire time windy? Also, do they have a set up for cocktail party and buffet style reception in the pool area? Did they give you any type of group rate discount? I requested you as a friend on FB. My name is Yesenia Maldonado.

Thanks so much for your post.Very helpful.

Yesenia

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
