Sunday night insomnia

I cannot relate to insomnia at all. I have the total opposite problem, I can't stay awake. If I sit still for more than 20 minutes, I will fall asleep. I am asleep in less than 2 minutes when I go to bed. This feeling is just as bad. I used to fall asleep in meetings at work, movies anything that required me to sit still.

I took one (1/2 dose) of a generic brand PM aspirin pill a little before 9 pm last night. And my alarm goes off at about 6:15ish. So that's a little over 9 hours. I thought that would be plenty of time to feel fine. I think that next time I will take it even earlier and probably only half a pill (1/4 dose).

I do have to say though that I slept GREAT. Matt went to the Eagles game last night and I didn't even wake up when he came to bed or if he got up to pee at all. The bad part was waking up this morning. I kept snoozing the alarm, cuz I was so tired. Like my body felt heavy kinda tired. And with each snooze I was knocked back out. So it was really hard to wake up. Then I get on the train for 1 hour 15 minutes, and I fell right back asleep. I think I might've even been snoring on the train. I got to work at 10 (since I overslept so much!), and I would say that I felt better by 10:30-11. My head felt foggy for a bit, but I am fine now.

Meanwhile DH was sound asleep all night!!!!

My mother has been telling me to take Tylenol PM or Advil PM but I've been trying to avoid that. But since it's not getting any better I think I'm gonna try to take 1 Advil PM tonight & see how that works.

Carly, I'm just wondering what time did you take it last night? Maybe it wasn't early enough to keep you from being groggy this morning?

I can kinda relate in a way to that as well. I take the train to and from work every day, and I am on it for at least an hour each way, sometimes more. Ever since I got into the habit of sleeping on my train rides, whenever I get into a car/truck/something that moves, I get all drowsy. It's so hard for me to stay awake in a car!

At CVS you can get the melatonin in a 3MG, try and split that in half, you may just need that. If that doesn't have you sleeping in an hour or so, take the other half. You have to play around to get the right MG dose for your body.

I've tried using it, but my problem is actually STAYING asleep. Ever since labor day weekend 07, the end unit townhouse (which is 5 doors from me) caught fire and I sat and watched it from my car. I've been so scared of fire. Thank god we had a hurricane that weekend so the wind was blowing the opposite direction, we had no damage at all just a little smoke smell occasionally when we had the windows open. So I think that and working nights had a big impact on my sleep.

Now with my prescription sedative I'm gtg!!

I used to always get that. I HATED sundays because that meant that I had to go to work and my weekend was over. I hate/hated my job. I'm on mat leave now so I don't get it anymore but I'm sure when I go back it will come back too. I hope it gets better for you.

I have the same problem. I think for me it's a combination of not wanting to go to work the next day, trying to get ready for the week and sleeping a little late on Saturdays and Sundays. I've been trying to get up earlier but even that doesn't help. This past Sunday I was up at 7, which is about 1/2 hour later than normal and I still didn't get to sleep until 2 or 3 a.m. I have tried the PM drugs but I still have a problem. It's almost like I'm wired when I take them, even if I take them at 7:00 p.m. I still can't sleep. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'm not going to sleep on Sundays.

What happens to me is I think I doze during the night and I feel like I never slept but I know I did. Crazy, I hate it!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
