Ocean Turquesa & Coral Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hey Cap, I will e-mail the packages for you. The nightly entertainment is ok by what Kaycee and reviews say but not a big party place. I am taking my group out one night in Cancun to satisfy the singles...lol Coral and Turquesa are joined so you can go to both..just not sure where the Maya is located and whether you can travel back and forth to that one?? Maybe Kaycee will know. K-gotta get to work..Chat soon and welcome

Hey BC, I am bringing a portable Ipod/speaker thing...in case but I think they have a cd speaker system at the resort. Thought the Ipod thing would be a good idea also to play "our songs" after dinner so we can have a first dance by the pool.../? Just my idea..will let you know how that goes soon.21 days before I leave and 26 days to the wedding. Getting very excited!!

Kaycee,I have a few questions since I am trying to finalize everything...

-Did you play music for your ceremony..and how?

-What did you have for your dinner?

-What did you do for your reception?

-Did you do the garter toss and flower toss?

-Did you do the don't see each other before the wedding ritual? Thought that would be hard when you are on the same resort?? lol

Thanks, Shelley

Hi

Yes, we played music at the ceremony. They have an ipod pug in and a sound system set up with a microphone if you want it. There is a lot to choose from for the menus- however you do have to pick one for everyone. We had steak and shrimp for the main course and a cucumber lettuce salad and seafood soup. It was all really good. We did eat breakfast in bed together that morning then we went our separate ways till the ceremony. They have an ipod plug in for music at the reception too. We paid $45 per person for the snorkel trip and had the entire boat to ourselves. We had the guests pay their own way b/c we paid for the fishing trip which cost more. The ocean coral and turquesa are one resort. The Maya is about 15 min. down the road- we didn't go there but saw it when we passed by. The entertainment was hit and miss every night. But there was always something going on. My 3 bridesmaids were single and they all still had a great time dancing in the lobby and hanging out. But there is not a disco- that would be better- heard they were going to try and get onehuh.gif Hope this helps answer some of your questions.

Hey Kaycee...

Thank-you for all your help!! It's very appreciated. I would just like to clear a couple things up...then I will leave you alone!! LOL did you have a seperate room for your reception? The ipod plug in for the reception..Is that a portable thing? Can we play music with it outside by the pool? I am not very techy!! lol We were going to bring an ipod and speakers in case..but if we don't need the speakers part..that would be good to know. Thanks again, Shelley

Hi Shelley,

Your no bother at all- I hope I can help by answering your questions. We did have our reception by the pool. Due to the wind they moved us back a few feet so we had cover over our heads- but still outside. We also paid extra-$13.50 per person to be outside (the ballroom came with the coral package). We brought our ipod and speakers too. We only used the speakers to listen to music in our room. The resort provided the plug in for the ipod for the ceremony and reception. We plugged our ipod in at the set up on the beach for our music for the ceremony. Then we plugged it in again at the reception site for dinner music, our first dance and to dance with our parents.

Hope this helps you!

Kaycee

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
