Which Palace Resort is best to have our wedding??

Recommended Posts

Do you have any additional info on Playacar? I'm looking at everything - really want to do the Ritz or Le Blanc, but think it might be more prudent to choose a different Palace resort (Le Blanc is a Palace, but it doesn't show up on their main website). Any help is appreciated!

I'm getting married in 11 short days at the Aventura Spa Palace...we leave this coming Sunday and I am SO excited. I have actually never been there, but I have heard from many friends who have visited that they loved it, and keep returning....a co-workers daughter was married there as well, and her recommendation really made my decision. I know it doesn't allow children (don't know if it will in the future), but for us, we knew that anyone who would be coming would be leaving the kids at home...but I know that won't work for everyone... Either way, I'll let you know how it goes, but I am pretty confident is is going to be AMAZING!!!!

Just found this thread and wanted to chime in. I am looking into Playacar as well. The resort looks great with good reviews. I hate that the beach is so small but maybe we can walk to another resort to enjoy the beach. Has anyone finalized Playacar as their DW location?

Hi Girls...sorry for taking so long to respond, haven't been on here in a while!

Future Mrs Ross:

What type of info are you wondering about PP? Have you chosen a place yet? I would LOVE to do Le Blanc, but it is def. out of our and our guests price range! :o(

Kegildemeister:

How was your wedding at Aventura Palace?? Did guests have a good time too? How many people did you have and were you able to book a group contract to take advantage of the promotions they have?

jhakimi1:

It turns out that we cannot do PP cause I am afriad that we will be over their limit for wedding guests (80)...so just to be safe we are now looking into Aventura Spa Palace. I would much rather get married at a smaller resort, but I also do not want to stress about wondering if we are going to go over 80 people.

Did you pick a resort yet?

I was also looking into Dreams PA and filled out the online wedding form last Sunday and now it's Saturday and I still haven't heard from them. I know communication can be bad w/the resorts but I've emailed a bunch of different places and no one was as bad as them...We decided to book w/Dreams Cancun, that was the resort we fell in love with from the beginning. On your wedding website I would also include expedia.com and other cheap travel web sites that people can look at as well as your travel agent info if you have one. Good luck! I know researching resorts can seem daunting but it's worth it, and remember to stay where you and your fiance want to, your loved ones will follow!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
