I found some gorgeous pictures of both of these eco parks, and I was wondering if anyone has contacted these places, or knows someone who has, about doing TTD on site. I think they would be gorgeous areas to do it in, but I don't even know where to start finding out info on whether or not they would allow it! Any suggestions?

I know that Xel-Ha has a few private beaches - which would be perfect! Not sure about XCaret. Xel-Ha is so much fun!

Thats what I was thinking! I think Xel-Ha also has a Mayan ruin near it (no temples, just ruined houses) that might be a possible TTD location, depending on the rules governing the site. I'm leaning towards Xel-Ha, if they'll allow it!

We were looking at doing Xcaret for our TTD but I guess you have to ask permission. Advice from Paul (playa weddings) is to tell them you are doing a bridal elegance photo shoot. Trash the dress doesn't sound very good. LOL

In the end my FI saw the TTD cenote tour that Del Sol does and fell in love. So we are going to do that instead of Xcaret. I would love to see your TTD pics if you did them at Xcaret.

Adias.angel- thanks for sharing the wording advice! I was actually thinking of an alternate way to describe the TTD session b/c I was afraid they'd think 'trash the dress- what a mess!' and say no! Bridal elegance session sounds so much more... quiet:) Thanks!

Do you have a link for this? I can't decide between a cenote, Tulum, or a private beach.... decisions, decisions.....

I think this is what your looking for. Here are 2 movies of couples doing their TTD in cenotes:
del Sol Photography - Movie - Trash The Dress
del Sol Photography - Movie - Trash The Dress

                Here are a couple albums:
                del Sol Photography
                del Sol Photography Wedding Photojournalism
                del Sol Photography Wedding Photojournalism

In one of the packages you can do a cenote and beach TTD combination.

                Hope these help, Carla

Hi! We are the onsite photographers for Occidental Grand Xcaret and work with the Xcaret Park as well. The Park has strict policies and will allow a TTD session when you have your wedding at their location and when asking permission. Its a beautiful location and a unique place to have a wedding.
