Which had for wedding band?

I'm hoping someone can help me out with a question...FH asked me last night if he has to wear his wedding band on his left hand after the ceremony? We are both unsure of why the tradition is the left hand. We know some European's wear it on the right. I told him I don't care as long as he wears it. He! He! But he is worried if it will be bad luck if he wears it on his right. Any ideas?

I've read that the ring finger on the left hand was believed to have this vein that led directly to the heart.

I don't know what the "real" answer to this question is, so I decided to look it up. Here's what I found:

I think that you can wear your ring however you want to. If you really don't care how he wears it, then do whatever makes you guys comfortable.

Is there any paticular reason he wants to wear it on the right opposed to the left? In my mind, the ring worn on the left hand symbolizes "being married" Chicks might look at his left hand, see that it's ring-less and try and hit on him. If it's on the left, they will know for sure that hes yours
