WOW loved you review on the resort I am getting married there in November. I am so glad everything turned out for you. How far ahead did you need to book the garden reception? Is that something I should be trying to book right now? Is it expensive to rent?? I would love to see your pictures and talk to you more...

I'm so glad everyone is enjoying my review. I have to say that recently they started playing ads for Riu Resorts on the TV and the ad is shot at the Riu Palace and each time we see it my husband and I talk about how amazing our wedding was and that we would do it there again. We really have no complaints....except maybe for the DJ but I think he just had a bad day.

 

Somewhere earlier in this thread is the info to check out out pictures on the kodak site. There's a ton to look at if you want ideas of the wedding photo quality of Mango Productions or also pics that friends took around the resort. So enjoy those.

 

As for booking which was asked recently. If you're doing a wedding during a high season I would book as far in advance as possible. Talk to the WC about this and her time frame. I got married during the low season and we reserved what I thought I wanted but the final decisions weren't made until the day before. I still think the morning of my wedding I was deciding beach vs gazebo since both were open for my wedding time. But if you're getting married during a high season this will NOT be the case. I had everything booked, including my hair appts a few months before - but that's more my style anyways.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
