Hi everyone,

Wow, thanks for the warm welcome!! I am getting married June 15 at Dreams Tulum, and it seems like the popular destination. I am SOOOO ready to go! We are having about 10-15 people join us, but just for the long weekend, not the whole week.

Sandra has been wonderful in helping us plan. There is a great forum for Dreams, if you have all sen it. It has been a tremendous help. This is a link:

Dreams Resorts & Spas - Login

Any tips? Ideas? I have seen some great ideas for welcoming guests, goodie bags. What else??

Welcome to the forum. I am seriously considering Tulum Dreams, and am waiting to hear how a few of you do on your weddings as I am unable to find many posting from people who have gotten married there since the renovations. The forum you gave will come in handy to learn more, unfortunately I get addicted to sites and now I have another one to scope out everyday. Not sure to kiss yah or swat yah. lol.. Hope eveything goes well for you, and even though you are new to this forum I am sure you can give us lots more useful tips.

I'm getting married in Tulum on July 7th. I'm pretty excited because I love the resort there. It's my favorite one in the RM.

I'm also doing OOT bags, thinking about the usual stuff like lip balm and a wedding CD and wine toppers and candles and magnets and maybe a tshirt? My bf is a graphic designer so he's doing our invites, we could use that design and make people some cool tshirts.

I'm getting married in the a.m. and hanging out on the beach with my friends for the rest of the day. I can't wait for the hanging out part!

We want to have a photographer for that part as well...haven't exactly ironed out all the details for it all. Right now we're sweating the reception venue for when we come back to Austin. Everything's so $$$.

Anyway, good to talk to you, let's keep in touch since we're in the same wedding boat.

Are yours and Laura's days going to laps?....maybe you guys will run into each other at the pool. That would be cool!

Kind of. They are arriving later in the day that we are getting married on. karen and I will be around for hers though. We will probably be watching from a distance already reminiscing about our day. I do think that a celebratory drink for the 4 of us is in order though.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
