Time to start the post-wedding DIY projects.

I plan on making a coffee table book of our wedding pictures (and several other versions to give our families).

I plan on including pieces of our ceremony script and lyrics from the songs we used in the ceremony. Most of these songs played after our ceremony when we had a champagne toast.

Is this the right way to quote a song lyric? Should the title of the song be in Title Case?

This is what I have so far. I might not use it all...

Song Lyrics

Where you are that’s where I want to be

And through your eyes are all the things I want to see

In the night you are my dreams

You’re everything to me

~ “Love of my life” by Dave Matthews featuring Carlos Santana

It's not always rainbows and butterflies

It's compromise that moves us along

My heart is full and my door's always open

You can come anytime you want

Tap on my window knock on my door

I want to make you feel beautiful

~ “She will be loved” by Maroon 5

How do you do it, make me feel like I do

How do you do it, it’s better than I ever knew

~ “Stellar” by Incubus

Won't you kiss me

On that midnight street

Sweep me off my feet

Singing ain't this life so sweet

~ “This year’s love” by David Grey

Where I go I just don't know

I might end up somewhere in Mexico.

When I find my piece of mind

I'm gonna keep you for the end of time.

~ “Soul to squeeze” by Red Hot Chili Peppers

It's a beautiful day

Sky falls, you feel like

It's a beautiful day

Don't let it get away

~ “Beautiful day” by U2

You crush me with the things you do

I do for you anything too…

Each moment, the more I love you…

Lovely lady, I will treat you sweetly

Adore you…

So much you have given love

That I would give you back again and again

Meaning I'll hold you

And please let me always

~”Crush” by Dave Matthews Band

Celebrate we will

Because life is short but sweet for certain

Were climbing two by two

To be sure these days continue.

~ “Two Step” by Dave Matthews Band

Pieces of our ceremony script

This beautiful setting should remind us that, like the ocean, human life is an ebb and flow- The life of the spirit and emotions- moves in cycles. To be in a relationship does not guarantee an eternal summer. To make a sincere and honest commitment does not promise, an end to all struggle. What a good relationship does offer, much like this ocean, is the opportunity for renewal. It recognizes the abiding, shared hope that after every winter, spring will come again.

Marriage has been described as living in love with your best friend. Love is one of the few constants in the universe. It is reality, affinity, and communication. Only love is capable of joining living beings by their deepest essence, uniting, completing, and fulfilling them.

Believe and trust that the words you have spoken have the capacity to create the marriage, family and life of your dreams, and that the rings you exchange will have the power to return you to your vows.

I give you this ring, as a sign of our marriage, and a lasting reminder, of the vows made between us today. I give you this ring, as a reminder that I will love, honor, and cherish you, in all times, in all places, and in all ways, forever.

I'll put the words of the hand ceremony on a page that has a picture of us during this part of the ceremony

These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and vibrant with love, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as he promises to passionately love you and cherish you through the years, for a lifetime of happiness.

These are the hands that will work along side yours, as together you build your future, as you laugh and cry, as you share your innermost secrets and dreams.

These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes: tears of sorrow and tears of joy.

These are the hands that will massage tension from you neck and back in the evenings after you’ve both had a long hard day.

These are the hands that will comfort you in illness, and hold you when fear or grief engulfs your heart.

And these are the hands that when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

These are the hands of your best friend, smooth, young and carefree, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as she promises to passionately love you and cherish you through the years, for a lifetime of happiness.

These are the hands that will hold you in joy, excitement and hope each time she tells you that you are to have another child; that together you have created new life.

These are the hands that will hold you tight as you struggle through difficult times.

These are the hands that will comfort you when you are sick, or console you when you are grieving.

And these are the hands that will give you support as she encourages you to chase down your dreams. Together as a team, everything you wish for can be realized.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
