Best Cruises for Weddings

We were married on an NCL ship, Norwegian Jewel and it was an excellent wedding.

Only one flaw, but it was something we could live with. The ship's photographer was 30 minutes late.

It cut our reception short by 1/2 hour and all we got was 20% off for our photos to make up for it.

Again, the good out weighed the bad and I'd do it all over again!

Disney Cruise Line is an excellent option.  My fiance and I want a first-class experience for us and our guests and DCL is the way to go.  We look forward to our wedding next May at DIsney's Castaway Cay.  I've heard from past DCL brides who have nothing but the highest compliments about their cruise weddings...both onboard and at Castway Cay.

I'm going to be a cruise bride in March! We chose to do our wedding beach side the day before our ship leaves port. It turned out to be cheaper and we still get the perks on the ship with our TA letting them know that we are honeymooners. We leave from Ft. Lauderdale, so we chose to have our ceremony on the beach at Vista Park Beach that way we could explore the city before we leave on the ship and a day to get things together and be married after we arrived in the city. I found an awesome officiant that has a pre-cruise package that included photography and filing the paperwork since we are from out of town. We wanted to get married while on the cruise, but found that for legal purposes, it was easier to be married in the States. Our cruise is through Princess. We were engaged on an Alaskan Cruise back in June on the Golden Princess and had such a wonderful experience that we chose to use them again! The staff was very friendly and helpful to each and every one of our needs, even when I got sick(Upper Respitory Infection) on board the ship! The medical center called our room multiple times to make sure I was doing okay and even gave me instructions on how to avoid pain during the flight(ears, sinuses, and head). I even heard from them once we got home! I never would have imagined having such an amazing experience to where I felt very taken care of, safe and like the cruise ship crew was family! Just a bit of info about the cruise line and wedding plan ideas for ya! Hope it helps!cheesy.gif

I'm going with with Princess too! Sailed with them last year. Had an amazing vacation. Service was excellent. Very clean. Very nice ship. I got a bit sea sick on the last day (maybe been eating too much desserts hehe) and everyone was very kind, catering to me. It was just nausea but I was treated like 1st class. Congrats FutureCrose!!! Are you going to stay in a hotel in FLL the night before? Just wondering which ones are good but not too pricey.

We are arriving in Ft. Lauderdale two days before the cruise leaves so we can settle in a bit after the flights.(He gets air sick, so it's best for him!) We get married the evening before we leave port. The officiant we are using told me that he will do some local research for me on hotels, best price, best quality, closest to beach/airport/port, etc. Should be getting back with me soon and I will spead the good news for you!! =)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
