Thanks for the tips ladies. She does drink lots of water, especially at night in her Elmo water bottle. I haven't given her any cranberry juice yet, but that does work on me when I can feel a UTI coming on. I wanted to wait and see what the Dr would give her for and antibiotic first, since some medications aren't compatiable with cranberry juice. They basically work against each other and not the infection. Yogurt is another thing that can help too.

I know what has caused it and I have been expecting her to get one, but it took longer than I thought. When she goes to the bathroom, she usually wipes back to front and that is one of the most common reasons for UTI's. I keep trying to teach her to wipe front to back, but it usually only happens for a couple potty breaks and then it back to front again.

Well now that my daughter is feeling a little better (no fevers), it was my son's turn to cause excitement around here. Yesterday he ws playing with a ball in the livingroom when he tipped over. he cried a bit but was fine. I picked him up and put him on the couch between FI and I and started feeding him little pieces of hotdog. There was a plate on the coffee table with the hotdog on it which he saw and literally flung himself forwards to get it. Well, he landed on the edge of the coffee table with the bridge of his nose. Of course Igrabbed him right away and there was instant swelling and a big black bruise across his nose. Off to the hospital we went, and not to long after being there it was apparent that he was probably fine, but it was better to get him checked out.

So we just had to keep an eye on him and watch for signs of a head injury and make sure that the swelling doesn't get too bad. The rest of the day he seemed pretty sleepy, but yet he fought it off. I kept putting him in situations that he wouldn't want to sleep through.

This morning the swelling seems to have stopped, and he has a bit of a black eye, but as long as he doesn't bump his nose, he is very content and happy. I see a lot of sick and hurt kids at work, but it is always very different when it is your own kid!!!!

    • First of all congrats!!! Costa Rica is a magical place for a wedding  Are you working with a travel agency for your rooms? If not, I would highly encourage you to do so because an agent can often help you get in contact with the wedding department to get that conversation/communication going. I would suggest working with Wright Travel Agency, the official agency of this forum. These agents are specialist in destination weddings and have access to great promotions and group perks in addition to being able to secure the best rates for your group. Best of all the agency does not charge any fees to use their service, but it will take a load off your plate not having to worry about arrangements for travel for you and your guests. Shoot an email over to info@wrighttravelagency.com and one of the team members will get back to you and get the ball rolling for your group and the wedding department! Best wishes!!!
