Thank you all very much for the advice and great suggestions. I do like the photo frame idea being tied to the bouqet. I think that anything else will really upset his family.

Will they allow you to drop some flower over the side of the boat?

I have two loved one who we are going to ask the minister to mention during the services. We REALY know they would want to be there but they are in some special blessed place ...

CJEB~I'm not really sure due to the fact that they are so strict about flowers i really don't think that they will. We are thinking of an Italian Love song that we can play during our guest being sitted. I think the best way to be somewhat secretive about it without upsetting anyone is to add the charm or photot frame to my flowers.

I think its difficult because my mum died 8 years ago and FI's dad died over 2 years ago and his mother is now remarried (long story!! which makes me spit blood lol)

Anyway both FI and decided we didn't want anything said or done. We don't need things to remember them we do anyway.

He will wear his dad's kilt and as my dad won't be there because he lives just too far away and he can't be anywhere near FI's family or murder will be done lol and my brother died as a baby I've got a charm bracelet with 3 charms one for each of them, angel for mum, devil for dad (lmao) and a baby boot for my brother. No-one but my family and FI will have a clue and that suits me.

I don't want to be sad on my wedding day - but each to their own really

If I could have got away with a picture on my flowers I would have done but it will just cause trouble with FMIL

I like the idea of the balloons and flowers over the side of the boat tho

I really liked the idea of the picture frame on the bouquet. I saw some other versions where they have antique style charms you can have the picture placed in. The link is exclusively weddings.com. Its about $36.00

Tim's mom passed away 14 years ago this July and all of his grandparents are passed and we just buried one his uncle's today. I would love to honor all of them in some way, but especially his mom. I never met his mother and because of that I feel really compelled to have her a part of our wedding. We had a family meeting about what should be done, I suggested some things and the conclusion was made that we will have an open seat for her at the end of the aisle and since we have 2 aisles (guys down one, girls down the other, meeting in the center) Tim will leave yellow flower on her chair when he comes down the aisle. I am also going to honor her by having a button from her wedding gown sewn to mine, it's private and personal but I'll know it's there and that means a lot to me. We are also doing programs to honor the other's in our lives that couldn't be there...

I have seen frosted cylinder vase/candle holder that you can have the name etched into and place it somewhere where it can be seen but not the center focus if that would be more suitable.

My FI's dad passed away 2 years ago. We will be throwing a lei into the ocean during our ceremony and will have a poem read.
