My Fi and I are having our wedding in Cancun, and will only be having like 40 guests. This is perfect for what we wanted, small and intimate. But then there were hurt feelings from others about not being invited. So we decided to have a second reception when we got home. Nothing big just beer wine and appetizers at the local country club. Are guest list is now over 300 people, which is great. But now people are telling me that this is tacky. I dont know what to do. Help

We are doing the same...it's very common and not tacky at all. Im wearing my dress again, which will be fun. I think its a common way to have a small, intimate wedding but then celebrate with ALL of your family and friends.

If you do a search for AHR (At home reception) you'll find that A LOT of people on here are doing! So, IMO, it isn't tacky - you're not alone!
