Spa @ Cabo Surf (Sea Spa)?

Recommended Posts

Sorry couldnt find anything when I searched this --but has anyone used Cabo Surf's Sea Spa for hair and makeup?

The owner gave us this quote:

Peinado (ocasión especial o de novia): $467.50 pesos (roughly $44 US)

Maquillaje: $467.50 pesos

Si la estilista va a otro hotel se cobra un 10% más sobre el precio.

(they add 10% if they come to your hotel if you are staying somewhere other than CaboSurf)

the prices include tax and a "wedding discount" (mexsun charges 28% extra for tax and mandatory gratuity on top of their $100 bridal hair fee and $75 makeup fee, and $75 BM hair fee)

this is over $50 cheaper per person than what MexSun quoted me for outcall service to come to my hotel. just wondering if anyone has gotten bridal hair/makeup done at cabo surf's spa that can vouch whether the prices are worth me switching my booking with mexsun. the entire cost of hair and makeup from cabo surf's spa, even with the 10% added for them to come to my hotel, is still slightly less than what it would cost for hair ALONE from mexsun coming to my hotel.

Yes, my bridesmaid had her hair blown out and then they did a half up half down updo. Like I said, the spa is nice but small. I will post a picture of her hair later. I have no idea about makeup applications sad.gif

Prices were similar!
awesome thank you sooo so much. we are trying to decide between the two, but i didnt know anyone who got hair/makeup done there who could vouch. the price difference between sea spa and mexsun is HUGE so i would like to keep it affordable for all my BMs to get their hair done -- and at the price MexSun wants to charge, my BMs said theyd do their own hair. But I'd like to surprise them and pay for it if Sea Spa is good.

    • The cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer,  a rotisserie , a slow cooker , a pressure cooker, a grill. Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.
    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
