For the girls that have already gotten married or anyone with input, did you guests mostly stay together or did everyone for their own little groups??

I wondering if we will be able to enjoy the week with everyone together or whether or time with guests will be divided up??

Did anyone's parents hang out together (both sets)?

We did a couple of things as a large group, like all 40 of us went atv'ing, we had dinner a couple of times together, and we had daily vollyball games, but for the most part everyone did there own thing. Our resort was pretty contained and our rooms were all together so we met in the courtyard alot. We all set up our pool chairs together, if we saw people eating we would join them, and we met up with most of our friends in the evening, our mom's and their friends headed in for the nite. It was known where on the beach our group was, and at the end of the day most of us seemed to be at the pool bar.The lobby bar was always a place in the evening that we knew their would be a group, it all worked out pretty well and everyone had fun. We also posted stick it's on our doors to let people know where we were headed, they were a great idea.

That was one of the only disappointing aspects for me, was I had pictured everyone hanging out a lot together and getting to know eachother, but really everyone formed the same groups, with my dh's family in their tight (boring LOL!) group and my family off being rowdy, and then our friends forming their own group. We felt a little torn at first trying to hang out with everyone. Then at the end we realized it was OUR vacation too so we were just going to do what WE liked and that really made it much better... hope that helps!

We figured if people wanted to hang with us they would join us no matter what group we were with. I was so busy with my kids that some of my friends literally just followed me around, everyone else seemed to find one another and yes we had everyone mingelling with one another, it was great. I think what helped with our group is we had a couple of functions before we left on our trip that allowed everyone a chance to know each other. They also were all on the same plane together, we were already in the DR, and by the time they got off the bus at our resort they had all bonded with one another:)

I suggest that you plan at least one excursion fro everyone to join in, and the afternoon volly game was a huge hit, some played, some didn't, and some cheered us on but at least it was a place that we all knew we would be at if you wanted to join in.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
