The problem is that there is no "rest of my decor" yet! I'm trying to settle on something so I can get a theme going. i like the taupe with silver & red- we'll see...

I'm either going to carry on the plane in boxes, or ship to Mariana ahead of time...

I'd suggest filling vases with floral foam and moss. you could also do reall orchids from the home depot.

I agree with velvet seeimg too heavy but it didn't photograph that way at all. As long as it's cruched you may be okay. I think that will turn out beautifully!

Are you intending to use tealights or votives?
Jeff really wants to do real flowers, I'm worried about finding them. We thought about ordering from the wholesaler posted somewhere on this forum, but you have to order a ton!

I'm undecided on the fabric for the runners, I like the velvet- but it's mostly the red color I'm most interested in.

I definitely will do votives- I just didn't have any at home, so the tealights were just for demonstration.

You can get one at an arts and crafts store so that it looks flat on the table and if you pick out a really good one it won't look like felt material.

That's a good idea- I'll check into that!

Jeff was helping me! We really like the orchids too. But, i would like to find something to do with the glitter grass- it's just so funky! Maybe for our AHR if we do one...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
