Presidente InterContinental Cozumel

Recommended Posts

Hello! I'm new here...this site is great! My fiance and I just got engaged recently and are thinking of getting married at the Presidente InterContinental Cozumel early next year. We have not yet been, but hoping to go for a site visit soon. Does anyone have any information on this resort? Or (better yet) has anyone been there or been married there? Any information is much appreciated!!!

omigosh.. that is exciting. I just got engaged 2 months ago and we chose to have our wedding at Presidente Intercontiental too. We were hoping to have your date, but they said it was booked. The only available Saturday was the 11th of April, but I heard that was the week of some huge holiday celebration. I love this network! OUr wedding will now take place on the 24th of April (Friday). Our wedding coordinator is Carolina. My fiance and I are planning to visit Cozumel in November to get a feel of the place. It's really hard to get any information or pictures online. I'm afraid that the sand is really brown ( from the pictures I've seen onilne). I'm super excited! I now have to choose a color scheme and so forth. How's your planning going?

Hi Aileen,

Congratulations on your engagement!!!! And congrats on picking your location too. My fiance and I visited InterContinental Cozumel and just fell in love with it. It's a good sized resort with a very intimate feel. The rooms were great...It was super relaxed and the service was amazing. We are so incredibly happy with our choice. We hope you are too!! And Carolina is the best. We love her! As for the sand, it is a little brown and packed-in but wasn't bad at all. We witnessed a small wedding while we were there, and it was quite beautiful.

Hope your planning is going well!

Hey there, I think that is a really great location for a wedding. I have not photographed a wedding there myself but tagged along with Juan Carlos Tapia when he shot a wedding at the Presidente. Juan Carlos belongs to BDW but since he is located in Cabo I am guessing he probably doesn't make it to this part of the forum, maybe you could pm him (and try to talk him into showing the photographs, I bet they are spectacular!)

best,

Elizabeth

thanks slw266! I'm going to Cozumel this Thursday to check the place out. I hope that it is as beautiful in person as it is in the pictures I've seen. I'm afraid that I may have chosen a wrong location for our wedding. I'm worried that perhaps I should have chosen a location in playa del carmen. You're absolutely right.. Carolina is the BEST! She's really sweet. I'm worried about my hair and makeup. Have u decided who's going to be doing that for you?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
