Pros: Quiet, Peaceful, Great Food, Beautiful Rooms
Cons: Not the most swimmable beach
El Dorado Casitas Royale is connected to the El Dorado Royale but the 2 resorts couldn't be more different. As soon as you step onto the Casitas side, you can immediately feel the calmness and tranquility of the resort. The Casitas has different blocks of rooms. Each block surrounds a pool and swim up bar so you never have to venture far to get a drink or cool off. Each block also has its own concierge who can make dinner reservations, spa appointments, book excursions or bring DVDs to your room

Pros: Beautiful property, fantastic food & service, dream wedding!
Cons: Price - you get what you pay for!
EDR truly gave us the wedding-moon of our dreams. The phrase we heard over and over during our stay is "anything is possible in Mexico", and the staff of EDR/EDCR really do mean that.    Resort/Accomodations:  We stayed in a swim-up casita suite for 10 nights. We had casita 3036, and it was the perfect location - right next to the presidential suite, so it was kind of private. Steps out to our pool, and a few more steps out to the beach. It was a bit of a haul to the main part of EDR, b

Pros: Beautiful Resort, Amazing food,
Cons: Poor Service at Times, Communication
I recently got married at El Dorado Royale on January 8, 2011 and spent my honeymoon at the El Dorado Casitas.  We went the first half of our trip, from January 4th through January 8th, on the El Dorado Royale side and then transfered on the 8th through the 15th to the Casita side.  Oh what a difference!!   CHECK IN   Check in for the two of us was a breeze.  We were immediately taken over to a special desk where we were given a glass of champagne and a low down of when and where we

Pros: Great service, beach beds, no dinner reservations needed, FREE 24/7 room service, swim up suites, lots of pools/restaurants so your never bored!
Cons: Internet is $US6/30 mins and only 3 computers are available
Overall our experience at this resort was absolutely amazing!  We had a few kinks along the way but we didn't let it ruin our trip or wedding.  I would highly recommend it for a wedding with an adult guest list or a honeymoon/couples escape. It is a huge resort with tons of lush greenery, pools, fountains and beautiful buildings.  You really feel like your in an island getaway!   A Quick Overview: We stayed from Nov 28-Dec 5, 2010 on the Royale

Pros: Privacy, Extreme Service, Beautiful, Huge Rooms, Amazing food
Cons: Casitas is where you need to stay, the non casita side is not as amazing but very nice still.
We were married here on July 24th 2010 and had 27 guests we had n amazing wedding planner / travel coordinator named Valeria Martinez with Lomas-Travel (which is owned by the resort). She set us up so amazingly and with in budget we spent just over $8,000 and had the ceremony of our dreams in a white gazebo on the beach (15 feet from blue ocean). We had a private reception at the "Tuscanes Bar" where they served an amazing buffet BBQ (which is what we chose) with floating candles in the little p
