  1. Thanks @ and @@ashhtayy! I can definitely see that having them for photos would be worth it, I'm just worried about the other 13 days we're there and looking over the top. A trial is a good idea, maybe I can time it to have the wedding I'm in on April 2nd and then refill before we leave for Mexico. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Need opinions - lash extensions or no? I wasn't planning on getting extensions, but then a girlfriend mentioned it, and we have been chatting on it a bit on here... So now I'm all conflicted. These are my eyelashes with a bit of regular drug store mascara. If I get extensions will it be too much and look tacky? Or is there a way to get a minimal amount to just plump them up a bit? I don't know very much about this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Congrats on your legal wedding!!! Have a great trip! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Good point @ I always use the stand up bed for that reason. I started tanning a couple weeks ago, reminds me I need to get back at it! @@vancouverpetunia I'm sorry to hear about you're booking drama, I think every one goes through it in some way. I'm at the point where I'm getting things together, still have 5 more people that are apparently booking... There's only so much you can do, as long as you, your fiancé and the important people are there that's all that will matter [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Sorry I misunderstood too! All blush for the aisle bouquets would be really pretty! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. That's all that matters @@Wafflesmom [emoji4] I'm so happy for you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. @@ashhtayy your flowers are gorgeous!!! I think the colours are perfect, and you need the white to break up the blush beautiful! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. @@vancouverpetunia How frustrating, I wake up a bit during the night my biggest trouble is falling asleep because my brain won't let me. Melatonin is meant to help with keeping you asleep, maybe you need to up your dosage? I don't like the groggy feeling either which is why I wanted to try this. I have a couple girlfriends at work who pushed me the natural way, so I walked into a health store and was recommended this. One of my friends took two and her boyfriend tried it, he loved it and had a great sleep, she couldn't fall asleep but she took too much magnesium that day so it kept her up some how. My other co-worker takes 10 mg of melatonin a night and won't get a restful nights sleep if she has any less, she also takes "Natural Calm", (a powder drink also found at the health store) before bed, everyone's bodies and tolerances are different. I am in no way a pill pusher or anything, just a bride-to-be who can't sleep (like a lot of other brides out there) and thought this might help if you're looking for something more natural. Let me know if you do try and it works for you Good luck!
  9. @ Me too!!! Bed time is when I think of literally everything! If you go by a healthstore (I went to Your Good Health) ask for these, they come in a 10 pack too for like $8 so you don't have to commit to a huge 60-tab bottle like I did lol (I knew I'd need more than 10). They are by the brand "Natural Factors - Stress Relax" called "Tranquil Sleep", I got the chewable orange ones. They just relax you, and help you to sleep, and they're natural so they don't make you groggy. I'll send you a pic of what the bottle looks like.
  10. @@vancouverpetunia Thanks for making me feel like I'm not crazy! lol Last night I took one of my sleeping supplements, had a hot shower, put my phones away and made myself read a brand new book for at least 10 pages and I had such a good sleep! I was putting off reading because I was thinking the last thing my brain needs is to remember details about a book lol but it actually helped relax me. How are you dealing with the lack of sleep and endless mind-racing? I got these tablets from the health store called Tranquil Sleep that are basically for mild insomnia and calms nervousness, they contain Suntheanine L-Theanine, melatonin and 5-HTP, and seem to help. I didn't want to take something that would make me groggy the next day and these don't.
  11. Yes @@krystalball we need to see you off before your big day! I'm happy to do both! The only weekend in March I could do is the 18th, and I'm good for April 8th too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Our dating anniversary is in September but I'm just making the deadline for an April wedding anniversary! So have we decided on an meetup date? I'm confused lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Awwww @@Wafflesmom I love your lemondrop wedding review so far! I really appreciate not only your detailed review but also the legal wedding aspects of it as I'm also having a legal wedding! Thanks so much! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Can't do the 1st but I can do the 8th! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. @@yycbride2016 my shower was beautiful thanks for asking :0 I posted some details in my thread. Everything looks amazing!!! You have done such a great job! I think eyelash extensions are always a good idea and will glam up any look, something you won't regret for sure! Like @ and @@snswedding2016 both said, resort make up can be a hit/miss unless you have reviews and the name of a specific artist there. Because I'm a control freak, I'm doing mine myself, and I personally have never liked when people have done my make up. You're trials look really good and you're a beautiful girl so I think if at the end of the day you take your make up into your own hands you won't be disappointed. But if it's one thing off your plate and helps you to relax on your special day then it might be worth getting it done. Also, where did you get your waterproof phone cases?!?! Sorry if I've missed it in your thread.
  16. @@acw271011 No cost for the tea Ann - my MIL wouldn't let me pay. I haven't stopped drinking tea since, it tastes like London I'll bring yours to our next meet-up. Speaking of... Should we get another date in our diaries? I personally have tons going on but would love to see you ladies at least once before the big day! Any thoughts on a date in March? I can't do March 4th and 25th. How does the 18th work for everyone?
  17. @@snswedding2016 Thanks Steph!!! I'm so happy it all worked out end the end I can't believe I get to wear that dress, I love it more and more! Time is flying!!!
  18. @@dreamweddings Thank you for posting Joyce!!! It's great to hear from someone who is there!
  19. @@vancouverpetunia I think your timeline looks really reasonable, I can't speak from experience but it makes sense to me! I would love your feedback on how everything flowed, I still need to finalize mine!
  20. @@ashhtayy Your tables are going to look fabulous! Your theme is similar to @ but it's nice that you can see how beautiful her's looked and get a really good idea about how yours will look. My colours are similar to @@Wafflesmom and her wedding was gorgeous so it gives a really nice idea! Great minds Did your Map/guestbook arrive yet?
  21. @@calgarybride2015 Thank you My shower was so amazing haha the gum game is the worst - sadly it was my idea... but I will be destroying all photographic evidence lol. Thank you for the dress comment I want to look 100x better in it so I'm really cracking down! I was very surprised when I heard about Air Canada as well, like I said worse things could happen though and I'm just glad my TA is dealing with it all. @@ashhtayy Thanks love! The two friends that helped the most with the set-up/tear-down I knew would lend a hand but I didn't expect that much, it was really nice of them. Although, the friend I spoke to you guys about didn't do anything.. it was a bit awkward at first but I had so many ladies to interact with and was too busy to care really lol, and my sister and Colin were so incredible I didn't have to worry about much. I have my dress at my place, I was storing it at my mom's until I picked it up in January to have the corset put in, as curious as Col is, he has not peeked and I trust he won't, he's had so many opportunities to see pictures as well and he hasn't, he wants that moment when we first see each other as much as I do. I need to air it out before we leave for Mexico, so depending what days Col takes off work before we leave I'll have to coordinate that - or ban him from our bedroom for a few hours lol. Isn't it so exciting to think of everyone being together for a week? Our friends and families like yours are so far apart, the nice thing is that our parents have met, and some of our friends have when they came to visit me in London. Colin's bother got married in Brazil almost a year ago, so we're actually meeting our new sister-in-law for the first time as well. Their one year wedding anniversary will be 2 nights before our wedding. @@Wafflesmom haha aren't my little mums so cute! I have to say when Col walked in the room with flowers for us all (even though I knew it was happening) my heart dropped, he still gives me butterflies. My mom shocked me with that bottle! She got the idea off Pinterest - I didn't even think she knew what Pinterest was, she can't even figure out Skype lol. I think the cake topper is so pretty Like i said we couldn't decide so it made our decision really easy. Thank you for the dress compliment I really think he'll love it, his mum cried when she saw me in it I can't wait to see his face! The flight thing change did annoy me a little, I won't lie and I'm a worrier too, but I figure there are so many things that could have gone wayyyyyy worse that if this is it (fingers crossed) I'm getting off lucky. @ I loved the foil balloons! We almost didn't get them because the quote my mom got was $125 for 4 balloons and I could not let her do that! I saw someone walk out of a dollar store near my place with helium balloons one night so I asked if they did foil letters and they did and we paid $12 a balloon - which is A LOT more reasonable. I am so looking forward to everyone interacting, and to some people seeing those they have already met! I don't know if I mentioned I had to get herbal supplements to help me sleep lol... well those are not working. Last night right before going to sleep Col asked what we have going on the next few weekends, and the fact that I could list every weekend up until our wedding was so unreal! It kept me up all night with my mind swirling and how I need to get my butt in the gym non-stop until we leave. Lot's of stuff to tackle in the next few weeks!!!
  22. Well said ladies @@ashhtayy and @ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. @@vancouverpetunia I didn't think about writing on the lines, that might be tricky... Maybe write on paper and use a toothpick or something to stick into the lime? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. @@vancouverpetunia Those look super cute! But would the limes soak through the paper? For the meal preference can you use a letter? Like a big "V" and let the WC know that is for the vegetarian meal?
  25. Thanks @@vancouverpetunia! My shower was exactly that - sentimental and so much fun! It was in the party room of my building which looked classy but had big comfy seats so it was really relaxed as well! We had all finger foods too and lots of sweets, so there was no structure, which I liked. I love my dress! Now that the final fitting's done, I really need to get strict with the diet!!! Tone up those arms! Oh goodness, I don't know what I would do either, I feel bad for my guests now. But yes, could be worse. My travel agent (super nice but a bit ditzy) messed up the wording on the email and my guests were sooooo confused! I had to call her and be like "listen, I know what you're trying to say but not everyone else does..." lol. Just need to stay positive
