Try looking on ebay for a belt that you want but may have been worn by another bride for a few hours. Some brides put their stuff up on ebay. This way you can find one for a decent price
Def veil for ceremony and maybe change it to a flower for reception

For our resort we will technically have 2 wedding coordinators. One I deal with now through emails. She is not the one that will be there for the wedding. Do I tip both? Or just the on site coordinator?

Sarani has AMAZING work I can't wait to use her for my wedding day. I def think the splurge for a good photographer is important. It was a large chunk of our budget.

I would ask about ceremony locations, selections of items for wedding, costs, outside vendor fees, etc.
-
Definitely work with a travel agent. Mine have helped me so much along the way even with my ceremony locations at my specific resort. Travel agents also take the headache away from your guests bothering you with resort and flight questions. Definitely the right path to take! Each hotel will give you a Wedding Coordinator who will help plan the wedding.

I know that you are married now, but I want to do the same thing for my guests in 2.5 months. Did you ever find a template??

I would totally agree with this. There isn't much on their sites for cake selection. My WC told me to look online and pick a cake I like and send the photo and they will replicate it. But without seeing what they are capable of it really is taking a shot in the dark

Thanks for the tip! I have been looking to go outside of the resort for a meal with my bridal party

Your flowers are awesome! My mom is making all of our flower needs. The resorts out there are so expensive for flowers and this way I can keep my bouquet from the wedding

I will be back at 150 posts this looks like a great thread!

Thanks for this fantastic post. It does feel sometime that my WC doesn't care about my wedding because she has so many and I am simply just another bride to her. It can be frustrating. Good luck with your future wedding

Make sure your hotel allows rehearsals. I am getting married at the El Dorado Royale and they told me that I am unable to have a rehearsal. I was very upset once I found this news out.

I saw some crazy looking spiders when I was in Jamaica, but Mexico always seemed to be ok

I didn't even think of getting a cheap hotel room to allow stylin trio to come. I originally had them booked but my resort was charging me 800 for them to come in

Ladies,
I purchased water bottles from the dollar store to use for our welcome bags and a design from etsy for a waterproof label. However, here is my dilemma. I got wate rbottles that are more of a sport top water bottle (24oz with handle). The more I think about it I feel like i went with the wrong style. Should I return these and get a regular acrylic tumbler? I don't want our guests to not be able to use them because they can't get a drink inside them. I still have receipts so exchanging shouldn't be a problem. I originally picked these because I liked the handle and the size.
any help is appreciated

I am going to be checking all of my welcome bag items in one suitcase. This way everything stays together and we can quickly assemble once we arrive.

I love this idea too! I added crossword books to my bag so I should insert one of these in each book. Thanks for sharing

Ive never met the couple and I definitely dont want strangers at my wedding. So I will just have to re address it with my family member that invited them so there's no miscommunications on the wedding day.

Ill be keeping mine stored away for sure! Looking forward to not hearing a phone ring haha

I heard wonderful things about styling trio. I orginially had them booked for my wedding until my resort said they were charging me $800 for a vendor fee. Wish I was having them on my wedding day

Did you ever find a place to bring your dog? The one sad part of my DW is that my dog will not be there for the big day!
