I'm still undecided.....but I found a cute idea on Pinterest that I'm currently kind of loving. It's aqua and orange. It's not a bright orange but more of a pretty peachy type. I love it! Wish I could figure out how to paste pics into my posts to show you all!
I figured out how to post pics for everyone to see! Yay! Here are the colors I'm currently lovingggg

@@Nycfashionista Wow! Your dress is amazing but even if I had your body my fiancée wouldn't let me wear a dress with that much skin showing! Lol. Gorgeous though!

I was thinking of doing something like that. Or maybe a blue garter. I also love the blue lettering you can buy online to stick on the bottom of your shoes - they usually say "I Do".

@@MissJen3 No problem! I know I was stressed when I was researching resorts and trying to pick one because I wanted to book the date! I actually had emailed the resort on my own first and I think the next day before I heard back from them I was looking into TA's and after talking with her they had replied back so from there I copied her onto all the emails so she could be in the loop. It's probably better to just book the resort on your own rather than waiting for the TA because you have to wait for the resort to email the TA and then the TA to get back to you. Good luck!

I just found a bunch of threads with people posting either cute stuff or talking about their engagement/wedding and just posted a "congrats" or "cute" lol. I spent this weekend posting a bunch in like every thread I could find that applied to me or that I could respond to.

@@forevertogether How do you post the picture in the post like that? I'm still trying to figure this out and since I haven't hit 150 yet I'm new to the picture thing.

Misha Earle is a Jamaican photographer who we have booked and she takes care of the vendor fees! Her pricing is reasonable compared to others I've researched and her photos are beautiful! I've also read great reviews on her on here.

@@Tatimrivera Sounds cute! We were going to do purple when we were going to do our fall wedding home in MA. I need to make up my mind soon! Lol.
@@Tatimrivera That will be pretty! We had chosen purple as one of our colors when we were thinking of doing the wedding back home in MA. I need to pick the colors soon so I can move on and start buying stuff lol!

My dad for some reason put his first name as my middle name on my social security card but it's actually misspelled anyway. Can I change my middle name to my last name and then make my last name my fiancées last name? This way I keep my last name in some form. Anyone know if this is an option? I would totally do that. Since I don't really consider my dads as my middle name, lol.
@@TinkerSofi how do you get that countdown on the bottom of your posts?

We haven't figured out if we're doing a private reception or not, it depends how many guests actually come. But our package includes only a semi private dinner. We can rent out one of their restaurants for an extra fee for 3 hours but then we have to add DJ cost to that. Or they have an option to rent out the club for 2 hours before it opens to the public and that fee includes DJ and open bar. Just need to figure out if there is seating in there. Then we can continue the party in the club (it's open all night).

Haven't decided yet but it's between Sade "By Your Side" or Christina Perri "A Thousand Years" ft Steve Kazee (from the Breaking Dawn Pt 2 soundtrack, lol).

They look great! Idk if I have the time or patience to do DIY invites! Where did you get the paper and how did you print them? At home? It seems like a lot of work. I wonder what the difference is in cost to DIY vs buying them online.

Your wedding colors don't have to match your bouquet exactly. You can just pick something that will complement it. I think you can still go with coral and have pink flowers, white and orange. It took me a while to pick the colors too and I think I changed them like 3 times ahaha. Keep in mind that it is important but I haven't really seen a bad color for a wedding so I'm sure you won't regret whatever color you choose. My colors are cornflower blue and blush pink. My bouquet is mostly ivory/white and I think it has a few blush colored roses in there.
Yea that is true. The other options for my bouquet are red or white roses so if anything I could go with the all white roses I just wanted some kind of color in the bouquet so it doesn't blend in with my dress. I'm not into bright colors usually but for the wedding I wanted something to complement the beach background. I also love the teal sashes but I think that might be too much blue lol. Lots to think about lol.

Love all of them! Super cute. How are you all posting the pic directly into the post? I can see those but when it's an attachment I can't view it bc I'm not at 150 yet.

Ok my latest stress is definitely picking colors for the chair decor. I want to bring my own sashes and starfish but am torn on the color. I want it to match the bouquet I'm getting with the package which is a tropical bouquet and from the pics I've gotten - the flowers are pink, red, white, yellow and I think I saw a hint of orange in there. The florist said she could try to customize to my color theme but I originally wanted coral but now I'm not sure if there are flowers that match that color. I hate red so I'm going to ask her to exclude the red flowers from the bouquet if possible and the fiancée doesn't want pink decor! Lol ahhhhh! Why is picking a color so hard.
Also I'm struggling with the idea of not having a private reception. At first I was ok with it but now I'm not sure. I want some traditional things and I don't know if they can be done during the semi private dinner.

This looks super cute, I may try to do this. But since I'm not sure if we're having a private traditional reception - idk if my guests will have time to do this during the cocktail hour maybe.

I saw some cute ideas for card boxes on Pinterest but I am not going to bring one. People are spending enough on their travel, I don't want it to seem as if I'm expecting something. If people give us cards, we'll have to just improvise of a spot to put them, lol.

Definitely barefoot or barefoot sandals. Has anyone worn the barefoot sandals? Are they easy to take off? I feel like they'd look weird once I put sandals on for the dinner and reception. I don't want to be struggling to take them off to throw on sandals once the ceremony is over, lol.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with the first place but glad it's all working out for you! I'm not picky, but going through this site and the forums I want to add my own touches to the wedding too so I'm going to try and bring some of my own decor and have them set it up at the ceremony. We are on a tight budget so I'll have to see what we can afford to be flexible with!

Congrats, welcome and happy planning! First thing to do is definitely contact the resort and book the date! The date we first wanted ended up being booked! It turned out better for the date we got but still those dates go early! Then you start thinking about photography and what is included in your package! All I've done so far is book the resort and photographer. I'm struggling to pick decor colors right now (no bridal party).

I don't know if we're doing this! We haven't discussed it. Hmmm guess we have to talk about it. I would probably go for a watch. He has a couple that I've gotten him for birthdays/anniversaries. But then again I feel like the wedding gift should be something different. The boudoir shoot sounds fun but that depends if I lose all the weight I want to. Lol. And even then Idk who I'd get to take the pics!

Man Made Diamonds?

I have a moissanite engagement ring. He got it enhanced since it's so affordable so my stone is shinier and whiter than the normal moissanites. It's 1.5 ct with side diamonds in a palladium band. I'm in love with my ring and do not wish I had a "real" diamond at all! In fact I'm glad it's not a "blood diamond". No one can tell the difference at all! It's gorgeous and mine I don't know how to insert pics into my posts but there's a couple pics in my gallery if you're curious
I figured out how to post pics so here is my ring in different lighting!
