  1. Hello Ladies,

I just got back from my dream wedding at Beach Palace. I have no words to describe how wonderful it was, so don't worry about a thing..just enjoy the planning and let it all fall together. I have many people to thank and a long review to write. I'm leaving for my honeymoon saturday then I will get more time to write, so give me a few days:).

I'll attach a few pix for you guys.

  2. Hi Girls!

I came back to the thread as promised and posted some pictures to my album of the pearl shimmer package ceremony & reception.

I also posted a picture of my makeup by Tania Tangle and some of my professional pictures from photos in cancun.

Please let me know if you have any questions because I know how stressful it was for me during the planning process.

    I hope you enjoy!

    -Kat :)

    Congratulations Kat!!

Your pictures look great! Hope your wedding went the way you dreamt of it!!

My wedding is coming up on the 31st, we are leaving on the 27th!! Did you have a dancefloor for your event? They look so small on the pictures.

    How was your overall experience?

  3. This was the best pic of the wedding cake table I could find.  Never uploaded a pic on here before, so hopefully I did it right!

Got my flowers from Maya Flora.  I originally had the white roses (which were beautiful), but I wanted some color. My mom and sister went the morning of the wedding to Maya Flora and surprised me with a beautiful bouquet for my Maid of Honor and I. My husband still had the single white rose boutonniere but it wasn't a huge deal to me.

    Hi  @@NicoleLV

Is Maya Floral a outside vendor? Are they cheaper than Zuniga. I'm so confused about where to get my centerpieces and bouquets.

  4. Hi @@lisajgarcia3

Wow, thank you for the great review. I am sorry for all the problems you ran into. Was it pouring al day during your wedding? So far I have 101 guests and 5 events. I am trying to plan everything to the T but hopefully they can work with me once I get there. Thank you for the heads up for the signs. I am planning on making all signs and taking it with. Did you use Beach Palace for the cake?

Hope you walked away with some great memories despite all the issues.

    Congrats,

  5. @@kokobellaa - We have almost the same colours! I'm just adding fuchsia in the mix, but also coral, gold and blush. I'm still trying to figure this out but I need to see how many tables I'll have first. I LOVE the tall centrepieces but I'm worried about how much they will cost

    @@tygrrlily

Nice, I love fuchsia! We have about 80 people and the centerpieces are pretty expensive. I think Zuniga does flowers as well as maya flowers. I haven't compared prices yet.

  6. Hi everyone,

What is everyone doing for centerpieces for reception? Any pictures of centerpieces for past brides? my colors are soft, gold, blush, coral

    Thank you,

Here is an album with some decor/setup pictures my dad took. We went pretty minimal with decor since it would keep the cost down (and the lagoon/ocean really should be the star). The overhead lanterns, and the lanterns in the pool really made for an elegant reception.

    @@chrisandcassie,

Wow, beautiful pictures and wedding! It looks amazing!! Did you get your centerpieces from zuniga? How many strings of lights did you get for the reception? I have 80 people so trying to sketch out a layout of the setup.. Did you have a dance floor?

    Thanks for sharing!

  7. I'm getting mine done with Styling Trio. I was also sent pricing info for MVP. Both of these are Palace approved vendors so you won't have to pay for vendor fees or day passes.

You can also get it done at the Palace salon and use up to $300 of your resort credits (if you're staying a week). I got sent what's titled the Le Blanc spa list, but I'm assuming the prices are the same

    Hi @@tygrrlily,

Thank you:) Would it be possible to send me the pdf's to my email? I can't open it here. My email is [email protected].

are MVP and TRIO 2 different vendors?

    Thanks,

  8. @@kokobellaa - I'm doing a site visit end of June! I plan on taking pics and measurements so I'll post here afterwards for sure :)

@@Bella Rios - Glad to hear your wedding went well!! Can't wait to hear more details and see the pics. Not sure if you meant to post a link or some pics, but none showed up

Question regarding the beauty salon at beach palace,

What have you or are you doing for make up and hair for family and friends? I have my own make up and hair stylist but need someone for immediate family. Are you guys using the beauty salon at BP or something else? I have at least 10-15 people that will need hair and make up done.. any suggestion?

    Thanks,

  9. Hi Ladies,

I am getting married on August 31st at Beach Palace. I am having a indian wedding and 5 events! I want to do a cocktail/snack get together on the first day on the Infinity terrace. Have any of you done any events on the infinity terrace or have any pictures of it? I don't remember how big it is and I am having a hard time planning the decor for it.

    I appreciate any help:)

    Thank,

    Renal

  10.

Hello fellow brides! I am trying to decide between Azul Beach and Beach Palace. They are both smaller resorts, and in the same price range for guests. Looks like it might come down to how much the actual wedding will cost. Could anyone share their research they have done for Beach Palace? Their weddings seem VERY generous, with lots of perks if you reach the 75 booked nights. I am assuming I will hit the 75 room nights, and will have around 50 people at my wedding. I will probably be doing April 2015.

I would go with the complimentary package which includes 30 people, so does anyone have a cost breakdown for additional people? I am on a pretty tight budget, so would love to hear from anyone who is willing to share.

Also - does it cost extra for the sky terrace for either the cocktail reception or dinner?

    Thanks in advance!!

    Hi @Mention:

My wedding date is 8/31/2014 at Beach Palace, we did our site visit and were very happy. We are expecting about 70-80 people. If you hit the 75 nights for rooms you should be fine since they offer perks. If you have more than 30 guests then the cost is $8/additional person. I would call the wedding department and ask all your questions that you may have.

    Good luck:)

  11. Hello everyone! Since it's officially 2014, I though I'd try to bring some action to this thread. We're getting married this year, ladies!!!! I just sent out Save the Dates. How are everyone else's plans coming along?

@@kokobellaa, how did your site visit go?

@@NicoleLV, we are using Beach Bum Vacation as our travel agency. We are working with Nanda, and she has been great so far!

    @ louloubelle,

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. Our site visit was excellent, everything we've hoped for. I was very impressed with their food and customer service. Now I have to start planning each event. When is your wedding?

  12. Hi!!! Congrats to you too!! I am going for my site visit in december, will take loads of pictures! I will be having 4 Indian ceremonies there, lot's to plan!!! I hired Blue Lens Carribean for my photography, I hope they can cut us a deal for the vendor fee. As for make-up artist and henna artist, DJ, priest we are flying in. Who are you in contact with? We are speaking with Kalena at the moment and hopefully soon with our coordinator.

  13. Hi everyone!!

I am booked for August 31st, 2014 at the Beach palace!! I am in touch with kalena at the moment but not yet with the coordinator/planner. I have booked my photographer already and I am now looking into hair/make up but just read about the $800 fee?? Is this for ALL vendors?? That's a ridiculous price for an outside vendor. How about photography?

I am going for my site visit in december, excited for that and will feel better after I see the actual resort:)!

Anyone tasted their food? How is it?

  14. Hi Everyone,

I am getting married at Beach Palace on August 31st 2014! I have been reading some of your threads and getting little scared!lol. We just started to plan after we reserved our dates. This is going to be a Indian wedding. I am mostly likely brining in outside vendors for makeup, photography, cake. Does anyone know of any good make up artists? Or does the resort have a good artist/stylist. Our site visit in in december.

I didn't hear anything about the $800 vendor fee for outside vendors? So far, we have talked to Kalena only.. any reviews on her?

It would be nice to find other indian brides who are planning their wedding at BP.

Good luck and have fun planning everyone:)

  15. Hi,

I am getting married at Beach Palace on August 31st 2014. Planning a destination indian wedding is fun but I am looking for the right vendors to set up for all the ceremonies. Has anyone used the resort's makeup/hair stylist? I am also looking for mandap vendors in cancun.

If anyone has pictures to share of their beach palace wedding please feel free to do so:)

  16. Hi everyone,

I recently got engaged and after discussing a few wedding locations we came down to having it in Cancun (August 2014). We have never been to Cancun so it's a little scary to plan and decide on a venue. I am looking for a wedding planner that can help me with all the planning as well. We are hindu and are looking to do a fusion-indian type wedding. We are looking at 50-70 guest but don't have a final count yet ( the number could be way smaller)!

I'm looking forward to reading some reviews and maybe meet indian brides to be who are also looking for a 2014 cancun wedding.

    All suggestions are welcome:)

  17. Hi everyone,

I just started planning for a 2014 cancun beach wedding and just starting to research on locations etc. We want a Indian wedding for about 70 people in august 2014. I've never been to cancun so it's hard to decide on a venue based on pictures and reviews. I am also looking for a wedding planner that can help me plan the wedding and events. All suggestions are welcome:):)
