  1. Hi. I have just returned from getting married at the moon palace, it was amazing, in relation to birth certificates etc, we simply just took them, not legalised before, all sorted in resort, I have a translation of marriage certificate and all other papers. It was simple process. On site coordination is excellent. The coordinator will arrange meeting with you, she will go through every detail with you. Enjoy planning. I want to go back!!
  2. Thanks. You will all have a great time. I'll feedback about the actual wedding day next week, until then trying to get a tan without strap marks. The sun is fierce, don't get caught out on first day! X x
  3. Cost is only $49 & $25 cheaper than getting it done in uk. Back of to sunbathing - it is amazing! X

  8. Hi Kelly - sorry to disappoint - this is not moon palace - moon palace have some lovely locations though. There are various gazebos available throughout the resort. You can see some of them if you look on place resorts website and go through to the wedding pages. Trip advisor have some good pictures too. I typed in gazebos at moon palace into search engine and quite a few come up and check out U tube you can watch some actual weddings x
  9. I got a letter today from Thomas cook - I have emailed the resort - no reply yet - I want to know how much construction. I can't help worrying - it is not good to receive a letter 5 days before travel when we have spent thousands of pounds! Not happy, I'll keep you posted on any developments. The resort is huge so hopefully we can be accomodated in another area if too bad x
  10. I have today received a letter from our agent to say that there is construction happening at The Grand - Moon. This is where we are staying. I am so angry that we have been informed less that a week from travel. Does anyone know how bad the construction is?
  11. Hi - we are using zuniga - two sets of lighting, two under table lights, runners for 2 tables, centre pieces for two tables & favor for 12 - $800! We aren't having anything amazing - costs soon add up. It's costs us with photos, extras a good £1,500-£2,000. I'll send you the catalogue from zuniga x
  12. Rockerchic - just re read my message - should have said email address - not your actual address - ha.
  13. Hi - we are taking walkie talkies - when we were last at the resort we spotted others using them and have picked some up at reasonable price.
  14. Hi there, congrats, I too am a uk bride, leaving uk in less than two weeks. You will get a wedding coordinator 90 days before your wedding. She will give you details of vendors that they suggest you use, but you can use others with an added fee. We are having a private reception on a terrace with lanterns, and a iPod set up. It's is worth noting that this all costs lighting was a shock, I would advise you to think carefully about purchasing decorations here to take with you - you get charged for set up - this can be more expensive that getting a vendor to do it for you. I made this mistake purchased it here but it was costing so much for set it up I decide to go with a vendor that doesn't charge for set up, we are using Lily at Zuniga she is providing decorations and lighting. The organising is much more in depth than we thought it would be. Let me know if I can help, got menus etc.
  15. Rockerchic - I have the menus happy to email them to you. Send me a personal message with your address and I will get them over to you.
  16. Hi. We are getting married at moon palace in less than three weeks time. We are having a private reception on a terrace and have chosen the Italian menu, I am wondering whether anyone had experienced the menus? Are we in for a treat? Many Thanks
  17. Eek - 3 weeks to go - I am getting v excited! It is snowing here in the UK - can't wait to be sitting in the sun as a Mrs! I haven't heard from my WC for ages, but not going to worry about it anymore I've had the date confirmed and what will be will be - no use worrying.
  18. Hello - I originally was all set on the complimentary package and ordered my own decorations such as name cards etc. I was then informed by the resort that the cost would be $100 per table to have someone put them up/on the tables etc! As I needed to book lighting decided that it would actually be cheaper and less hassle to get Lily from Zungia to do it for me. My suitcase will be lighter- more room for shoes!
  19. Hi Ldondon84 we are referring to the brochure/catalogue we received from Lily at Zuniga it has lots of ideas, pictures and costs of items you can hire or purchase. If you would like it contact Lily or send me a personal message with your email address I will then forward it to you. Have you a colour scheme in mind? If you do tell Lily and she will send seperate pictures. I am going for pink and was told that they didn't do much in pink - however I was more than happy with what was available.
  20. Hi ladystardust. Ha - I want everything too! We are going for pale pink theme - have ordered pink macacas for the table settings - I was happy with $8 each. We are getting married at 4.00 then cocktail hour at approx 5.00 then from 6.00-8.00 reception after that perhaps go to the lobby. What are your plans?
  21. Congratulations Jackie! Hope you had a wonderful time. As ladystardust says - would love to see photos. Did you enjoy your special day? Is there anything you would have changed?
  22. That's right, if we were to get married here alone without a honeymoon it would be more. Have you been to moon palace before? We did 7 years ago and from that moment decided we would go back at get married but setting up and having a baby has put if off until now. We are thrilled that we are all going making it extra special. We are a total party of 14. I am very excited - 6 weeks to go! How many in your party?
  23. Tucan was our first choice, and bungalimias our second, however second choice confirmed. Happy though. Chose to go with Lily and Zuniga, she sent us much more information and was more welcoming than the other vendor. We have confirmed all with her. We are having a pale pink theme costing 800 plus usd for simple lighting and decoration to two tables - ouch. Hope it is lovely. Have you got the 100 pages plus catalogue from Lily?
  24. Hi again ladystardust - we are having reception on bugabilas Terrace - that isn't spelt right! Extra lighting was suggested. Was shocked, shocked at prices too. Cost we didn't expect but have little choice unless give the guests torches - ha - classy! Are you having an evening reception outdoors?
