Thanks Cherina. My fiancé wants to still go ahead with it because its what we want. Yes we are having a party when we get home so everyone will come to that. I guess I just have to look at it as a good thing in that it will just be us two together, everything happens for a reason!

I have just found out that nobody is coming to our wedding now, I don't know whether to go ahead with it or get married at home and then just go to moon palace for honeymoon. The reason we chose to get married abroad is because my mum passed away last year so thought it might be easier, but now that nobody can come due to various reasons I'm not sure now! My dress is bought, I mean who would do up my dress, do they have people at the hotel for that?

Getting on okay, still haven't heard back from our contact at Thomas cook but am going to go in this week at some point and hopefully she'll tell us that we have our date confirmed! Booked the at home reception so focussing on that just now and searching for a dress and shoes! How are you getting on?! X

We still haven't had our date confirmed and can't actually get a hold of our contact in Thomas Cook which is a bit of a nightmare!!! We're not sure how many people are coming with us as the reason we decided to do it abroad is because my mum recently passed away so didn't want a big thing. We were told my Thomas Cook we will be getting the resort credits and so will anyone else who books, we have also just booked ourselves and are letting people go in and book themselves, seems to be easier that way, I don't want to be chasing up people all year! My next meeting with Thomas Cook is to decide whether to make all the arrangements through her or directly with the hotel ...... Not sure which is best to be honest! Planning not going too badly, not really much we can do at the minute although we're going to see two venues for our reception when we come home, if you are having one I suggest getting it booked now because a few of the places I got in touch with here are already booked up for next year! x

Hey ladies! Didn't realise there was replies on this till now! We booked through Thomas Cook too, still no word on our wedding date being confirmed as our contact in TC still hasn't heard anything back from Moon Palace! We haven't even been told anything about a wedding pack .... Will have to mention this at our next meeting at Thomas Cook. We have requested 11 October so fingers crossed we get that date although I'm not too fussed about what date we get married it just makes sense as we arrive on the 7th which is a Monday so that means we'll have the 2nd week to relax etc! Have any of you guys been told about the resort credit? We have been told by TC that we will definitely get it but was just wondering if you guys had been told the same thing? It's great that we're all going to same hotel at same time will be good to hear how your planning goes, hopefully it will all run smoothly!!! xx

Hey everyone, My name is Ashley and I have been engaged for a couple of months now and we have just booked to go to the Moon Palace resort in Cancun October 2013 to get married!! Just having to decide if we're going to organise the wedding through our travel agent here in Scotland or directly with the hotel team. Looking forward to finding out lots of info on here! x
