Hi Ladies! Congrats to all the future 2014 brides, so exciting...and stressful, who knew! lol I'm freaking out a little bit, we are getting married april 20, 2014, as of now we have 75 booked, insane! We had origionally booked the private restaurant ( we were only expecting 40-50 to book) but im second guessing it now with a minimum cost of $45/pp with such a large number. Basically from what i've read, the only options are ; 1. private dinner ($) 2. a la carte for 30 guests at most (free) 3. buffet so am I correct in assuming with this many guests and without paying a per head price my only option is buffet?? Does anyone know if its possible to pay to rent out an a la carte? I've read posts that said yes but that was in 2008/2011 posts. Thanks so much, I'm also having a hard time getting a response and I do understand the weddings are still a year away but a woman needs to plan!! lol

Hi Everyone! This msg is for an past or present brides, right now we are expecting 75 guests, closer to 80/85 by the time the day is here. Aside from the private dinner which we booked (when we were expecting 40-50 ppl) where else will they accomodate this large number without eating at the buffet? Is it possible to rent out an a la carte at a set price rather then a per person price?? Any info would be helpful, my responses back and forth with the wedding co take a few weeks and i'm really trying to lay out some sort of budget as the costs are rising!

Hi future brides! My fiance and I have booked GPLH for april 2014, we thought we were being very proactive booking so far in advance, seems not to be true. We just heard back from our travel agent and he is saying with 15 months until the wedding, there are only 6 regular rooms left and our guests will now have to book the the upgraded rooms that start at $40 more per couple. We don't understand how there can be a shortage of rooms so far in advance, the only thing we can think of is our travel company has only booked a small number of rooms with the resort and they are filling up? If anyone has had similar issues, or knows of a travel company that may hold a larger number of rooms, as we are hoping to have 50-60 guests. If anyone knows which other travel companies book at GPLH, that would also be helpful. Thanks in advance

Jreist, Thanks so much, that info was so helpful. We are deciding between Rose hall and grand palladium lady hamilton. It seems there is a lot more flexibility at the iberostar resort, a lot more options for private parties!
