  1. Leahjuly, Thank you for the information, greatly appreciated! Velas Vallarta looks beautiful! I have heard good things I am trying desperately to stay within the 1500$ mark. Harder then I thought. Right now looking into the Riu's -- hard finding something for everyone. Wide range of travellers! Everything from newborns, to party animals, and elderly. I'm sure your day was amazing!
  2. Hello Ladies! My name is Viktoria, I live in Ontario Canada. My fiancé and I are getting married at Las Caletas somewhere between feb-april. I have been hesitant to put my deposit down without a resort confirmed! We originally had book Dreams for out guests to stay at, but I am sure you have all herd about the resort takeover. It's so frustrating! My WC suggested waiting until they have released new quotes for a weeks stay under new management. They keep delaying and delaying! I want to get invites out ASAP. I have done a lot of research in the area on other resorts that are comparable, NOW Ambar seems absolutely wonderful! I tried very hard to get decent and comparable quotes for my guests, no luck. The cheapest qoute I got back was in early January for 1800$ pp, tax in. Not bad! Just don't want to get married right after the holiday season. After that-- prices have greatly increased, 2000$ pp. average. still not crazyyyyy, but I originally ball parked 1500$ with that being the ave price with Dreams. I wish Hyatt would release prices, the resort will be brand new and gorgeous!:) Any other ladies still resort shopping? --Anything decent within a decent distance to LC? I'm thinking about just confirming with LC a date and sending STDs out. Resort TBD! Lol Hope everything's going well with you girls,
  3. Hi ladies, Was just about to book my wedding at dreams. Can't believe this is all happening. So fortunate that I didn't print the invites. I feel badly for all the brides who have to fully re-arrange there weddings. Anyone have an idea of what resorts they are switching too? After SO much research, it's hard to decide.
  4. O Hi Ladies, I am also looking at Hacienda de San Angel for my wedding. The rustic romantic feel seems amazing. The price is pretty High in comparison to other "offsite locations" I plan on having all my guests stay at a all inclusive resort nearby and doing my ceremony there followed by pictures apps, and drinks. Then go back to the resort for a private dinner. It would be nice to have the reception there however 60$ for a bottle of champagne, I mean, common. I'm sure it's wonderful but that would put me wayyyy over budget. I am open to any other suggestions for the reception though, any nice restaurants in the area anyone would recommend?
  5. Hi everyone! great website, very informative and helpful. Beach Palace seems like the perfect location for Destination Brides that are wanting something beautiful, modern and costimizable. Desintation weddings seem like the way to go, you get a week instead of a day and can share the excitement with all your close friends and family! although some beach weddings can be incrediably tacky, ( white plastic arch, with wedding pictures of vows being exchanged men in there banana hammocks in the background...True story.) These resorts seem like the way to go! I was hoping someone would be able to answer these couple questions: In terms of your guest, We have very mixed financial situation. Starving students, Newly Married, People with high expectations, ect. I feel badly about making my mixed guest pay over 15000, 7 nights, taxes in, I know that seems like alot, well crazy. but i have seen other threads about people's guests going for slightly over that price. I feel the prices really vary at the resort. 1000, 2000 doller differences between one week to the next. Crazyyyy I think we would have a good number of guests. Is there big group discounts? We would be flying from Ontario. THANKYOU LADIES!
