  1. I'm getting married on the Cruise on embarkation day... I really just wanted to get that part over with to enjoy the honeymoon and family! : )
  2. I also purchased the sanitizer and put my own labels! much cheaper and turned out great, our bags are similar also! great ideas!
  3. Very Inspiring! I've just begun some of my DIY projects and these ideas are great! I'm getting married the day of my cruise (wanna get it out the way, lol) so I won't see my guests til the day of. I'm doing OOT bags and my WE coordinator is hand delivering them to each room while we're at the reception (nice of her!) so I'm creating a welcome brochure post wedding, thanking them for joining us and all the scheduled activities. I found great ideas of what to include from all the creative brides here!
  4. I initially called Carnival with questions about the wedding and they set me up with an in-house agent (Shawn) who immediately made me feel comfortable and walked me through the entire process. Shawn handled the booking process, set up a group number for me to give all my guests and he keeps track of everything, kinda nice, I don't want to have to call people and remind them about deposits. Initial deposit was $150pp and they have til October to have balance paid in full. I gave everyone the info they needed and his direct # for questions and he e-mails me each time someone books, makes sure all the rooms are in the same location and and same dining time. After dealing with Shawn, he got me to Alison, who handled the Wedding booking and I love her, she e-mailed me everything I needed right away, color schemes, pictures of the cakes etc. (she even added an extra table, for our sand ceremony at no cost!). In addition to Alison I also have Gina from the Wedding Experience who handles all the little details like my bouquet, food, music etc. I feel like I have a Wedding Team in my corner and I have 3 resources to go to instead of one! I'm glad I called carnival before going through a travel agent, kinda cuts out the middle man and no hidden fees!
  5. Hello all..Newbie here..been lurking for about a month..There's so much good information and great tips here! My fiance and I love cruising, our first vacation was a cruise, he proposed on a cruise, so we figure let's get Married on a cruise! I have a small case of OCD, so I like the fact that I don't have to pick a venue, caterer, honeymoon etc. because I definitely get caught up in the details and would probably never get this wedding done. It's also kind of scary to have to trust others with your vision, but so far everyone at Carnival has been great and the fiance is pretty much letting me have my way. Because I have just six months left, I'm starting to feel the panic kick in..and I figured what better place then BDW to get some support!
  6. I booked everything directly through Carnival. They set me up with a contact person who handels any questions I have regarding the cruise, he 's also the contact person for anyone attending. Then I have Alison, the Wedding Specialist, whom I love, she returns all my calls, e-mails,etc. She's even sent me pictures of the cake, rooms, etc. Then there's the Wedding Experience, I'm dealing with Sherry there and so far so good, they've answered all my questions and then some. I have more help dealing with Carnival directly than most people did going through a TA. (& no middle man fees)
