1. The cost of the wedding seems to be adding up and up and UP!!! So no excursions for us. But our resort does a beach bonfire on Thursday nights ( which is the day all our guests arrive) we are inviting everyone to join us for this event and to wear "all white" so we stand out as a group and my photographer can get done great group shots of everyone in white! Then the wedding is Saturday. We will all meet up for brunch Sunday! Other than that... Everyone is on their own. We wanted our guests to feel this is their vacation rather than pushing them to do what we wanted each day! So the 3 events seemed enough: beach bonfire, WEDDING, and brunch!

I can see why no one has answered. lol What kind of question is this? (Just kidding) Hmm *if* I had a kid, I think I would save the kid. Gosh, this is so hard. Okay, my turn. Would you rather have no nose or no ears?
No nose. Would you rather be rich or famous?
3. Thought I'd share this with you guys and see what the collective answers are... You basically have to choose between two options and can't make alternatives... it's either one or the other. Here is the first question: Would you rather be beautiful but die at the age of 50 or be ugly and live to 100? Feel free to answer and post your own question. I'll post the "answer" to this one later tonight. Enjoy!bunny_4.gif
I would rather be average looking and live to 75.
4. Hi! I too was having this same problem! Our wedding is August 3rd and we are leaving next month with 81 guests booked! I started freaking out to Deyanira and having my fiances family call her since they are from the area and know pricing. I thought we had to pay extra for open bar and everything but it turns out the $74 extra per person we are paying for the buffet includes the price for drinks as well. And for the cake, well $7 per person is outrageous. My fiance and I will take the cake that comes with the package for the tradition of cutting the cake and letting our guests just enjoy the desserts that come with the buffet. Much less to stress about,
Sooo apparently the "silver bar" package is included with the buffet at $74 per person.... The "gold bar" package is $8 per person PER HOUR.... Which for a one hour cocktail hour and 3 hour dinner reception comes to $32 per person for the gold bar.... I freaked out when I saw that!! I thought it was only 8$ per person! She said the silver bar has a charge for the hour but its still confusing. I'm emailing her tonight to clarify AGAIN! I asked her if its an "all inclusive" resort why would I pay $32 a person for their drinks.... That's just crazy! And with 65 people booked you think they'd throw ya a break somewhere!
5. Ok so right out of the destination wedding bible it says...
• Black Tie Optional - This is if your wedding is formal
• Formal Dress - dressy but not black tie
• Cocktail Attire - he wears a suit or sport coat she wears a cocktail dress
• Beach Formal - for an elegant beach wedding; it implies colorful semiformal dresses and summer suits
• Beach Chic - sundresses & slacks and polos
• Island Festive or Festive Attire - sundresses & island shirts slacks to shorts
• Jacket Required - can be added to of the less formal dress codes if you would like men to not wear shorts and add a jacket [*]Flip Flops Required, Beach Casual, Sarong Style or Tropical Attire - flip flops paired with in-fomal but wedding appropriate wear like sundresses and khakis with white linen shirts. but be forewarned guess my end up in tshirts and shorts

Now, I didn't know what half of these meant without the definition next to it so you can say the phrase on the invite and what it means to you or if you have a wedding website put the definition on there or if you are sending out a newsletter it can go there as well. Hop ethis helps cheers.gif

Great definitions! Totally using this! EVERYONE is asking me what to wear!
6. We are going to put this on the "response card", instead of making it a formal card that they have to mail back. I was thinking "Beach Chic". I like adding "Dress for the elements - sand, sun and water" from JHarwood. this is what we put on our website (want to condense it for the invite though):
Quote:
"Beach Chic" will be the clothing attire theme for our wedding! GIRLS: Think bright, bold colorful sundresses or skirt outfits. (our wedding colors are lime green, fuschia with maybe a hint of teal) GUYS: Linen Khaki Pants with a brightly colored shirt would be great. On your feet: NO HIGH HEELS! Girls, you will thank us later! The island is rocky (well, the part where you walk from the boat to the beach), so cute flip flops or sandals are perfect. You can always choose to kick them off if you'd like and go shoe-less! (This goes for guys and girls). Keep in mind that although we will be by the ocean, it will be HOT out there with no A/C or fans like most of us are used to. So make sure you are comfortable in your attire, as we'll probably be on the island about 5 hours or so. There will be plenty of bottled water provided to keep everyone hydrated.
I like this explanation!
