  1. Thanks AmandaLei 1. When was the date of your wedding and at what time? I am getting married in November about an hour before sunset so we can get some beautiful sunset photos (much like you have). December 5th ceremony was at 4pm and lasted about 20 minutes. 2. Did you go with an officiant through the hotel or did you have your own? Through the hotel and she was amazing. She spoke really good English as well. 3. Where did you get your maracas from? I actually got some eyelash extensions before I went down to Mexico and I really recommend them. I found a salon that did them for less than $100 bucks and they lasted about 2 and a half weeks. I don't have any mascara on in those pictures - also really helpful if you plan on doing a trash the dress because you don't have to worry about mascara running. Shelbi
  2. I ordered it off of Etsy. The seller's name was DealEasyNet (http://www.etsy.com/shop/dealeasynet) . It took a few revisions to get something I was happy with but I love the way it looked in the end... and it's something you can actually keep after the wedding as a keepsake.
  3. Hi, Sorry I don't know what happened - here are the links again. http://www.juanphotos.com/blog/weddings/tulum-cenote-akumal-beach-trash-the-dress-shelbi-mike-rivera-maya-q-roo-mexico/ http://www.juanphotos.com/blog/weddings/grand-sunset-princess-destination-wedding-shelbi-mike-riviera-maya-q-roo-mexico-2/
  4. Hi ladies, I got married at the grand sunset princess on December 5th and it was amazing. We did the sunset gazebo and the chill out lounge and I wouldn't change a thing. Below are links to some photos you can see some of the chill out area and gazebo in them. I also got my hair and makeup done at the spa (didnt bring any pictures) and i was really happy with how it tuned out. We also did a trash the dress shoot a few days after the wedding and it was unbelievable. Highly recommend Juan Navarro as a photographer. If you have any questions let me know. http://www.juanphotos.com/blog/weddings/grand-sunset-princess-destination-wedding-shelbi-mike-riviera-maya-q-roo-mexico-2/ http://www.juanphotos.com/blog/weddings/tulum-cenote-akumal-beach-trash-the-dress-shelbi-mike-rivera-maya-q-roo-mexico/
  5. Can someone who has been to this resort before please show me where the riviera gazebo and chill out club is located on this map? I'm just making up a newsletter type thing for my guest bags and want to include all the important places they need to be clearly marked off. Thanks!
  6. I'm getting married in December and they are charging me $200 per person (so $400 because the photographer will have an assistant) and I have to pay for their meals too. I'm doing the $100 per person private function so 600 bucks just for them to step foot on the property!!
  7. Hello ladies, For the brides that have already had their wedding at GSP, or those that have been there for a visit can you tell me what the deck is like at the chill out lounge? I read somewhere that the slats are a bit wide and that high heels get stuck in them when you are walking. I've looked for wedges, but haven't had much luck and have my heart set on a great pair of heels but don't want to be worried about tripping all night. Can someone please clarify? Thanks!
  8. Can someone please help me find some nice navy wedges? I am getting married in a gazebo overlooking the beach and then the reception is on a wooden deck with some fairly wide slats.Other brides have said their heels have gotten stuck and that wedges are the way to go. All the wedges I have found so far are way too casual. Please help!
  9. Hey Katman - I am currently doing the exact same thing for a few resorts around the Mayan. Still in pretty beginning stages but we should swap spreadsheets.
