  1. Hi HopeToBe, The weather was beautiful in May. I think we only had a few sprinkles of rain one day. It seemed to cloud over in the distance but never affected the weather at the resort. The weather on our wedding day was gorgeous. It was a bit windy but nothing out of the ordinary for being close to the water (Nothing close to hurricane winds or anything). I certainly don't remember it being an issue but when I look back at pictures I see my guests' hair was blowing around. There seemed to be a bit of a breeze the whole time we were there. No, it is definitely not chilly with the wind. If anything it will feel good with the hot sun. Your guests shouldn't have to worry about bringing a light sweater at all. I would recommend wearing your hair up. I didn't want to constantly be pushing it out of my face. It would also be a bit cooler since the sun tends to be so hot! Hope this helps

  5. Hi soontobeawalsh, My husband and I got married last May. We were fortunate to have Chris Lee take our photos. He is AMAZING! If he is your photographer you will not have anything to worry about. We purchased a $500 package which I believe included 20 pictures or so. The pictures turned out so good that we ended up buying all of the pictures! It was just way to difficult to narrow them down. All 250 pictures or so cost us $1500. Hope this helps!

  7. Hi Soon2BAMrs, My husband and I got married there last May at 11am. I can tell you it was very rushed! My hair appointment was made for 8:30 however when I arrived at 8:15 I read on the sign that they did not open until 9 am. I began to panic as I was supposed to be back in my room to change in time for the photographer who was arriving to take pictures for 10:30, be down at the lobby for 10:45 and then to the Gazebo for the ceremony at 11:00. My hair and make-up wasn't finished until 10:30. I ran back to the room to find the photographer had been waiting for me. I had to rush to take some before pictures and then throw the dress on and take some more pictures, etc. By the time we got down to the lobby it was past 11:00 and I was in a panic because I was late. So, essentially I was like 20-30 mins late for the ceremony! In the rush of things I forgot to apply sun screen and ended up with 2nd degree burns on my shoulders! The ceremony turned out beautiful though! It was more than I could have imagined. After the ceremony, which is only about 10 - 15 mins, we celebrated with a champagne toast. We then took some group photos with our guests followed by a shoot with me and my new husband only. During this time our guests went off and did their own thing. The blank part is the part in between your photos and your dinner. Our dinner was at around 6 or 7 that evening so we had the rest of the day, I would say from 1 pm till 6 or 7 to do whatever you wish. I hope this helps some and answers some of the unknown. If I could give one piece of advice it would be to enjoy and take in every moment. It happens so fast! My only regret is that I wish I would have had more time to enjoy it. Congratulations to the two of you - I am sure it will be everything you imagined!

  9. Congratulations on your recent wedding! I am getting married in May at the Gran Bahia Principe too in Runaway Bay I'm curious to hear how your wedding turned out? I'm a bit concerned where there isn't a whole lot of contact with the wedding planner.
