The 36 pictures included with your package is only an hour coverage 30 minutes for the ceremony and 30 minutes right after. This is thebasic package that Adventure Photos offers and they charge $599 for this unless you are buying the love or ultimate package. Now this is what was sooooooo frustrating to me: I wanted to upgrade to the full day coverage plus trash the dress ($1499), however the photo company told me they dont "upgrade", I have to purchase the full package at the full price even tough the hotel already includes the basic photo package in my Ultimate wedding package. I was really pissed that I would have to spend $2100 for a $1500 package. What are your thoughts on this rip-off? And if you add on the $999 package, or one of the photography packages, how many photos do you get? If someone could clarify this it would be great. I'm just trying to decide it's worthbit to add on.

Hi Dominique, We are actually getting married about a week a part so not to freak you out but this is something you must know. The Ultimate package provides cocktail hour and reception dinner for up to 20 people however these people MUST stay at the resort. If your guest are not staying at the resort you should look into the most simple package which is actually free of cost to you and then add on everything to it for an extra fee. $16 p/p for cocktail hour & & $48p/p for dinner. Since you have a small party you can do a semi private dinner at one of the restaurant (which will be free) and then go dancing to the Desires lounge. Also when your guest are not staying at the resort they have to buy a day pass to come to your wedding which is I believe $80 per person. Hope this helps with you decision making, happy planning.

Yes thats fine, dont worry about it. All the brides had to do it. They want a back and forth copy of your cc as well as your license. After you send everything in (i did it via email) it will take no less then two weeks (because thats how long it take them to respond on an average) to send you back a copy of your request form with a copy of the cc transaction for your records. Also, I would suggest when you send in your payment and request form in the same email bullet point the times and areas for where you want your seremony, cocktail hour and reception. so this way you have it for you records. I keep all my emails with all prices quoted to me and confirmations of my venues and times. good luck!

I know that they have fire dancers on Wednesday night by the stairs of the lobby. I would suggest to CALL the hotel and either speak to the front desk, conserge or even Evangelina. I called last week and asked to be connected to the wedding department and spend a good 10 minutes talking to Evangelina. I bought a calling card for 2 bucks and it gave me almost an hour if talk time to mexico (pretty good deal) I am glad my post was helpful to you and feel free to ask any question

Hi Dimples, I have been playing around with the same idea and here is what I was thinking to fill in the pages: A tentative schedule of events; a packing check list; things to do in Riviera Maya (excursions, shopping malls, etc); the hotel has theme nights and entertainment so you can have a list of those as well. hope this helps. Have you picked out where you are getting your passport invites done? Vika

I am having my reception at El Pateo. The cost is $2000 to closed it down for 3 hours as a private event (with the permission of their food and bev mng). Depending on what package you choose, we chose the Ultimate package, Its still $48 pp for every extra after 20 people + tax + Gratuaty. If you want to stay longer then 3 hours, its $15 pp per hour (open bar and waiter service). Hope this helps. Happy Planning!

Cangrats!!!!! Super excited for you. I am glad you decided to go with DRC but i have to give you a biiiig warning, they are really bad with replying to emails and keeping contact with you. All past bride swear on how great the wedding turned out but the communication with the coordinator really sucks. I was really stressed while deciding and trying to get the info until i just gave up and booked my date....all other details will come together closer to the date. So relax and if you have any question feel free to ask anyone here, everyone has been so helpful on this site. I would also suggest an over forum on this site because it has been around a long time and most of the bride are on it talking (700+ pages in) I will link you on the bottom. Again congrats and happy planning. if you have any questions feel free to ask. I just booked my wedding at DRC April 27th 2013. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/47576/dreams-riviera-cancun-brides-post-here-new-thread/7550#post_1721019

I see that you want a May wedding, I know there is another bride that booked her date already thats getting married at DRC on May 3rd 2013 so it looks like her and I will be overlapping with our vacation stay. There is another forum on this website that has been very helpful to me and my decision making you should check it out (thats where all the previous brides, current brides and future brides are) Everyone has been super helpful in answering questions and even emailing pdf files to each other since the wedding cordinators take forever. My fiance and I fly on thanksgiving weekend all the time because our families are scattered between the east and west coasts. I find that if you fly that Tuesday or Wednesday flights get really really price (double sometimes triple the original price). However if you fly out on thanksgiving day morning, you can get normal priced tkts even a little discounted depends on the airline. Hope this helps in your planning process, happy planning!
