  1. Just a heads up, the wifi connection at the resort is NOT that great, you get kicked out often and there are times it won't connect at all. I think it is probably because there are so many people logged on at the same time. Also, the wifi doesn't seem to connect at certain spots on the resort. I facetime chatted with my family back home in Philly while we were at the resort and our conversation was very delayed and would freeze up while the wifi was trying to stay connected. I'm not sure if skype is any better, its definitely worth a shot. Hopefully you hear from your wedding coordinator before you leave, but if not I'm sure she has everything under control. They really do an amazing job! Have a great time!
  2. Thank you so much! I'm having such a hard time deciding which ones to print out for our house! The only advice I can give you is to not stress about the wedding. I know it is easier said then done but they really do make your day so very special! My wedding coordinator did an amazing job, I have NO complaints about anything involving our wedding or our coordinator! (I had Lily Sanchez) Everything will be perfect, just relax and enjoy your day!
  3. The resort has free WIFI, it isn't that great but it worked for what we needed it for. I didnt notice any outlets by the beach. Hope this helps!
  4. We have been back from Moon Palace for a little over a week now!! Our wedding was AMAZING!!! We had such a great time and all of our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to! I will write my review soon. Here are some of the pics from our photographer. We used Ocean Photo Studio and I could not be happier with our pictures! They did a great job
  5. I know it's easy for me to say but it will all work out trust me... People wait until the very LAST minute to book. Our wedding is on Saturday and we just had someone book their room today and we had a groomsmen back out last monday, his room was booked and he still backed out... because they waited until the last minute to book their airfare and now flights out of philadelphia are outrageous. My fiance is the same way he shows no emotion and acts like it doesn't bother him but I know deep down it does. I felt the same way you did about people booking, then all of a sudden people started booking about 2 months before the wedding. We have also had our fair share of family drama, my fiance's sister told us numerous times we were selfish, she can't believe we would ask people to spend that much money for our wedding, how could we get married on foreign soil blah blah blah. Then she said she was coming, then she wasn't coming, then she was coming again and guess what she is NOT coming now and we haven't talked to her in 4 months. One thing I have learned is that some people do not care about anyone but themselves and think because your having a destination wedding its no big deal. Some people who I thought would never spend the money to come to our wedding did and others that I thought would be there for sure have given us some lame excuse as to why they cant be there.
  6. Im bringing my computer so I will definitely try to post pics while I am there
  7. We leave tomorrow!!!! I'm so excited. My wedding coordinator gave me Javier Cortes his email is [email protected], but he is out of the office until november 12, his email said if you need assistance to contact Dai Jimenez at [email protected]. Javier let us reserve the dolphin swim for 15 people. He has been awesome to work with!
  8. Well my fiancé and I leave for Cancun in one week!! We are super excited!!!! Except there always seems to be a bump in the road with something, we were all set and good to go with enough room nights to get us all of the group benefits (we had 80) until hurricane Sandy hit our area!! We now have at least 2 guests who are not going to be able to attend our wedding due to the damage occurred from the storm, that knocks us down to 73 nights . I emailed asking if we could still receive credit for their nights because it is out of their control as to why they will not be attending and was told NO, I can't believe they won't sympathize with us over 2 freaking nights (I'm not asking for credit for all of their nights, just enough to get us back to 75), we had a natural disaster hit our area pretty badly, it's not like our guests had a choice in the matter and just woke up and decided they didn't feel like going to Cancun next week. My next question to them is going to ask if we can just pay out of pocket for those two nights ourselves. It still ends up being cheaper then paying for our reception and welcome dinners out of pocket. I'm really stressed now because we had all of our events budgeted around the unlimited events. Is anyone else having to deal with something like this?
