  1. We just returned home from our wedding at Villa Mia. Villa Mia is a 15 bedroom villa. YOu can also rent out villa Cosmos (5 bedrooms) and Casa Gran Dia (6 Bedrooms). We had all three villas rented out and all of our guests stayed together. Talk about amazing. We had our own staff and everywhere we looked there were people we knew. I have never received so many compliments about a place to stay. People loved everything about it. The wedding planner that comes with the Villa is Vanina, and she did an amazing job. I will post pictures as soon as I get them. I highly suggest renting out Villa Mia if you don't want a bunch of strangers watching your wedding, you want to feel like a complete celebrity and you want the coolest villa on earth. We are trying to somehow make a reunion happen already it was so amazing!
  2. #6 It is a really special moment and it was captured.
  3. Does anyone have any suggestions for tiny details I may be forgetting when getting married at a villa? I am getting married at Villa Mia and although it comes with a wedding coordinator, I don't want to forget anything.
  4. Hello, I am trying to book my spot for my wedding. I came upon Villa Mia and really like how everyone can stay at three villas together. Does anyone have any info on this spot?? I am a little concerned it is not going to be kept up. Any information would be so appreciated. Thanks, Jamie
  5. Hello, I had my heart set on having a friend of ours marry us. I found out in order to have a legal ceremony in Mexico you have to have a Mexican judge marry you. I notice in a lot of brides photos it seems as if a friend is marrying you. Did you first marry legally in the states and then hold a symbolic ceremony? Feel like I want to make it more personal than a judge reading by the book. Any suggestions?
  6. I am actually searching for a villa right now. I like casa valerie, but have heard some bad things. We have been searching everywhere. Want a reasonable priced villa, but will pay up to $3000 nightly. Would love to know what your doing for food, planning etc. We are going to have about 60 guests. Where are your extra guests staying? Thanks for any help, Jamie
  7. Hey all, I am looking for a villa wedding around PV area, or at least this coast side. I am open to all ideas but this is what I am looking for: Able to accomadate 60 people for wedding. Want to be married on beach, preferable to be in front of villa. Nice wide open reception area at villa. Villa can sleep at least 8. Reasonably priced, yet beautiful Would prefer overflow of guests can stay within walking distance, so we are not stressing about transportation. Also did you find a wedding planner first, or a villa? Any villa suggestions? Any wedding planner suggestions? Please help, I have been online for what feels like years looking for the perfect location. Thank you all, Jamie
  8. Thank you, I have been sifting through everything, but I'm pretty sure I made up my mind the minute I saw La Reve. All your insight has been very helpful and I feel excited now! Thank you, Jamie
  9. I am wondering if previous cabo surf brides thought the road seemed loud. Some of the reviews I have read seem to think its really loud. There was also a couple complaints about the room not being very nice. I love the venue, would love to hear what former brides thought were the pros and cons. Thanks so much.
  10. Hello, I am newly engaged and planning a wedding for January 2013. This is sooooo hard. I just came across Martoca and I love it!!! Does anyone have any reviews for it? I am having about 70 people at our wedding. Where did you stay with your guests? I would love to have everyone stay at the same place. I don't love huge resorts, was thinking maybe a group of villas all together? Anyone have any advice? Also any other advice about rehersal dinners etc. would be so appreciated.
  11. Wow, That was great. Thank you!!! I just got engaged and we are planning our wedding for January 2013. We live in Tahoe. I saw you were a Cali girl, so thought we may have similiar taste. I love Le Reve. Here are my questions. How many guests did you have? What rates did you get for rooms? Did it seem loud with everyone staying there? Would you have changed anything? Did you all stay there? What vendors are better outside of the wedding? I don't want it to be cheesy. What did you do for music? Was there good dancing space? Congratulations to you guys!!!!!! Any info or suggestions would be great! Do you think Le REve is the best spot? I really like it but think we are going to have about 60 people so I feel bad asking some people to stay next door. Maybe I will send the rowdy ones over there.
  12. Is Le Reve the best in the area? It is the one place I have been really drawn too. Love the setting and the privacy. Do not love the prices, especially for Mexico. How expensive is the restaurant and the drinks??? Does anyone know? How expensive is catering and open bar compared to other resorts? If I booked out the whole place does it seem loud for the older folks? Or is there different spaces people can go too. Three nights at 200 or more just seems a bit much to ask after people already have to buy a flight, take off work, and get things for the trip. Please let me know your experiences. Did you let your guests know far in advance the costs so they could prepare? I just got engaged and am planning for January 2013 but really want the venue booked so I can give everyone a year notice for planning, jobs, children etc. Any help is greatly appreciated. Jamie
  13. How much did you get the rooms for nightly? Did you do a rehersal dinner there? How many guests did you have? Did you hold a open bar, and how did you find food and alcohol costs. I am struggling with deciding to do it here or not. I have not been there, but it looks gorgeous. and I think its the one..... This seems so hard. Ugh.
