This has to be the best site ever for destination weddings! Everyone on here has given me some great ideas, no I just need to figure out now many I can actually tackle. We are getting married at The Islander 6/9/12. For any Keys brides with questions let me know, I make it down to the Keys about 1 weekend a month so I'm very familiar with the area, more so Islamorada area but make it to Key West a lot also.

My mom and I stayed there about a year ago. LOVED IT! Our favorite part was that there is a pool for adults only... Very nice and quiet. While we were there we watched a wedding and it seemed very nice. I think you will be very pleased with Tradewinds, I would stay there again for sure!

We are getting married at The Islander in June. My fiance and I go to Islamorada about once a month so we are very familiar with the area. We are having a very small wedding about 30 people and from what I found the Islander was the only place willing to negotiate the price, Casey has been great so far! Hair and makeup I am going to try Blue Bamboo, its only about a block away from the Islander and looks like a nice place, we will probably do our engagement pictures in Dec or Jan down there so I will let you know how my hair turns out. I read someone mentioned Case Morada resort for a wedding. We went there and talked to someone who was willing to work with us for such a small wedding up until we were ready to book then told us we needed to rent the entire resort, I thought that was very unprofessional and disappointing. Hope this helps and if anyone has questions feel free to ask, like I said we are there about once a month and also planning a wedding so it's nice to hear ideas or suggestions.
