Have either of you had your ceremony? I am interested in the bonfire as well. I was trying to decide if I needed appetizers since mine would be after the rehearsal dinner and thinking of hiring the steel band.

This is soo beautiful!!!! I plan to jump the broom and am really excited about it. I found a spoken word type song on the internet that I plan to incorporate into the ceremony somehow.

Yes, Half Moon will be the place. Trying to figure out best option for guests. Thought price was kinda high if your guests are already staying at resort and paying all inclusive price. I would love to speak offline if you get a moment. Thanks Winegirl

Hi Avie I would like to have my wedding at Half Moon. I am trying to finalize plans and choose a date. There seem to be a lot of details to consider like all inclusive vs ep plan. If there is any insight you can share, I would love to hear it. I plan on having about 30 people in attendance and was trying to figure out the most cost effective way to go. Thanks soo much!!

Hi Halfmoonbride2b, I am soo not considering the package I saw on jetsetter. I mentioned it because I was surprised to see Half Moon featured. I am only expecting 30-40 people. I am working with a travel agent to get final prices and a confirmed date hopefully within the next week. I should probably make a wish list and then cut back on things based on cost. I am getting nervous because I think I am missing elements that will help me make the most informed decision. Right now I have a date in April and May to choose from. I can't wait to seal this deal and start working on other parts of the planning. It's been a little difficult to get good prices from them. I get detailed information but not necessarily the information that I want. I am looking at the Eat, Drink and ..... package. I was only given prices for all inclusive rooms and have asked several times about villa prices all inclusive vs. non and well as non inclusive room rates. I am yet to receive the exact information, that's why I decided to work with a TA, since they have more time to get these questions answered. Hi ladies. I saw something a few minutes ago that made me smile. I was on Jetsetter.com and noticed on there destination section Half Moon is featured with a wedding package that includes 70 guests. Jetsetter typically feature top places, so it was neat to see Half Moon making the list. Check it out. I don't remember how many days was left before the sale was over. Oh yeah, it's free to join, similar to groupon.

Thank you, great information. So far, I keep coming back to Half Moon. I was actually pricing out the all-inclusive, but to your point, I will be having evening events while there. You have given me something to think about. I need to get the cost for the non inclusive and see the difference. Are you working with a TA. I think I am going to get one or a consultant, I want someone to send out my save the dates and be a point of contact for me once I have the packages and my date confirmed. I am thinking about a Friday afternoon ceremony and maybe provide an excursion for everyone on Saturday to Ocho Rios, shopping and the Falls or something.

I am interested in Half Moon and was a little concerned with some feedback I received. One travel agent told me it was old/dated and clientele so old there was a dialysis center on site. This scared me. I wanted feedback from you since you visited during your scouting trip. The website is beautiful and elegent. Also, I was trying to determine all-inclusive for my guests or not. I would love any feedback you can share.I am expecting 20-30 people.
