  1. awe Jbean : (   I would ask someone else to do them too. I know me and I can really get carried away. I'm sure that's the last thing you want to do! Hope you can work it out!!!

Today has been a great day! We heard the baby's heartbeat and everything at the pre-travel apt. went really well. They gave me a copy of all my records if for any reason I should need them down there. My bestie got her passport!!!!!! It was about an all day adventure and a costly one. Most importantly...passport is in hand!!  Lastly, I found an officiant that will do our "secret" legal ceremony at our reception. This has me so excited. Only downside it is $375. I basically told my FI he is paying for it and will love it because I think our friends and family will love to see us get married...even if it is the second time around ; )

Happy soon to be Wedding Day Jbean!!!! Let nothing get you down : )

  2. I did not take any pics because I am on here a good bit and sometimes I leave the computer open. I did not want to take the chance of my FI seeing ANY pics of either dress. I have gone to great lengths for him to know as little as possible. I can't wait to get back and post pics of everything though. We are doing a really formal reception three days after we get home. I kept talking about  wanting red for this or that and he didn't get it. So, i told him the dress for the reception in red cuz we will already be married. It's not, but he believes me. It is a gorgeous formal wedding dress that I added a red sash to.

We may end up surprising EVERYONE at the reception with another ceremony there. We are not legally married yet and feel that the Jamaican certificate will hold no value in US. I am currently looking for an officiant for the 19th. I think it would be so awesome to have another little ceremony in front of everyone that had no clue it was going to happen  : )

  3. Thank you. I really did not think i was crafty at all, but I really liked the way my projects have turned out. I did these, luggage tags, flower girl baskets and awesome escort tags. My fav thing i just did was my personalized shoes for the reception. Im in <3 with them!!!!!

I just finished all these welcome letters for the OOT bags last night and packed them all in bubble wrap. I am dropping my suitcase of OOT stuff off with my dad today.....5 more days till I fly out. I will be a Mrs. in one week!!!!!!!

  4. uh I'm sorry to hear that. I really hope his brother gets to come. : (   Hate to say it....but don't let it burst your bubble. Try to stay happy and excited.

So my bestie is driving the six hours today to try to go get her emergency passport replacement. (I really want to kill her soon to be ex for burning it) Ahhh kinda have butterflies. I hope it all works out. It is really expensive though : /

I had my final dress fitting!!! I felt really fat. I know I'm not. I am about 15weeks now and I have not gained any weight, but i still feel like my belly is huge. I hope i feel a lot more confident and sexy the day of the wedding when I am all glammed up.

  5. It is so true that I wish I could be on here more, but things are getting crazy. I cried half the day yesterday. My best friend told me her soon-to-be ex husband burnt her passport!!!! We leave in 6 days. Ummmm freaking out. I care more about her coming than my own mother! She ran around all day to get the stuff she needs. She is planning on driving to Washington DC on Friday (from Pittsburgh) to try and get an emergency replacement. All I can do at this point is jope for the best : /

I still feel like I have lots of stuff to do but I am lucky enough to have plenty of time to do it all.  We leave in 2 weeks and although the weekends are packed full I have time every night to start laying stuff out and packing it up.  Thank goodness I get off work at 3:30 everyday.  Gives me so much time to workout, run errands and do wedding stuff.  I think my two major headaches right now are the playlists and the parents gifts.  UGH!!  Oh and my BM drama that is still going on.  Oh well.  I really don't feel stressed yet which is good.

Finally got to see the BD pics I took.  They were really good and I walked out of there with 13 instead of the planned 8.  Since I nixed the album for an extra picture I now have to find an album that is nice enough and fits them all.  Another thing to add to the "To Do" list.  I am really happy with them and I can't wait for him to see them.

My last day at work is 11/11/11 and I can't friggin wait.  Most of my day at work is spent working on wedding stuff or reading this board but I really can't wait to get away for more than 2 weeks and not think about this place even once.  I just put in another vacation day for that Monday after Thanksgiving when I come back.  Figured I'd need another day to re-coup LOL.

Hope you all had a nice evening and that you are all feeling better today!!

    So excited for you Courtney!!!!

I just got the call that my BD pics are done. I have been trying to find an album for a while now. No luck really. Let me know if you find something great please!!!!

  8. ahhh Pucca.....could you possibly take anything else on? You make me feel like a bum. haha No seriously though, I hope you can get excited soon. Just remember what all your hard work is for : )

Thanks for the pics Leigh.....Heaven!!!!!! oh and the playlist.

    Packing, packing, packing, ughhh

I felt like I got some stuff done during the day yesterday. It felt great to pack up all the decor for the AHR (there is alot). It's so nice to have it all sitting by the door ready to go when I get home. I am doing mostly all the decorating myself (I am anal and have a certain way I picture things). I will pretty much only have two days. We get home the 16th and the AHR is the 19th. So i am getting anxious about the million and one things I will have to get done during that time. I am just trying to be as prepared as i can be now.

My FI started packing all his stuff last night while I laid on the couch feeling horrible. He tried on his ceremony outfit again which got me really excited, but also got me thinking..... For the ceremony I will be barefoot adorned with red-i by chelsea jewels(FI has no clue about this). We got him some nice shoes for the ceremony a while back that match well and look great when considering just his outfit. I don't know if it will seem weird with him wearing shoes and me being barefoot. Neither one of us really like his outfit as much with the flip-flops. I don't want to tell him I will be barefoot so I can't ask what he thinks about it. What do you ladies think?

BTW  I slept from about 9 last night to about noon. Thank God I work for my FI cuz I woke up feeling just as terrible. I canceled my final dress fitting today : (   Hopefully i will be feeling better by wed. so I can go then

Trying to stay positive and excited!!!

(I haven't price shopped, though, so they may be available for less elsewhere).

oh wow. The starfish are intended to be hairpins. I don't know why i thought the jewels were glued, the pins make so much more sense. I'm glad i asked!!!! Thanks for the link. I think i might have to make some myself if i can't find them in a store. TIME CRUNCH!!!!

  10. I still have not decided on what I'll do for the ceremony in Jamaica. I think I am just going to take them a couple pics of what I don't like and give them a few guidelines. Hopefully what they come up with makes me want to cry (in a good way of course).

I finally found a pic I love for AHR. My dress for home has a red sash. I really love the look of black beauty roses. I hope my florist can glue the gems in like that. Does anyone have advice for that? I don't know if she has done it before or not.

My FI also got me these starfish to stick in there.

I ordered something like these gems wrapped around the stems from save-on-crafts.com. It was way more than i should have paid for it, but I could not find what I wanted in the craft store. Plus, I can use it for Jamaica and AHR. I love it!

I'm so glad I have a little direction now msnwink.gif

I am totally in the same boat - I am not excited AT ALL and I wish I were. My to do list for each day is about 8 items long (plus work, working out, tanning). I am MAJOR pms'ing (I am so bitchy I could probably punch a kitten today), there's construction going on 7 days a week in our building that sounds like jack hammers all day long, and Fi and I haven't been able to spend a weekend alone together in weeks.

Whoo! Thanks for letting me rant ladies!

Thank you. I have been trying to do just that.  ah u poor thing. Please spare the kittens!!! j/k cheesy.gif The construction alone would make me want to kill someone. I hope you guys get your alone time soon. Before the wedding?....hopefully!!

I know i should just stop and take care of myself ,but it is so hard. I don't even have shoes yet!!!! I ran around all day yesterday and have no clue how i managed it. I am pretty sure I am skipping the Halloween parties tonight though : (

Thank you for the good thoughts!!!!!

Oh BTW FI is really good with helping with little projects and stuff. He is scared to help me sometimes though cuz i am a perfectionist and i yelled at him for putting the stickers on our invites crooked. He knows can can only do the preliminary helping. haha

  14. Initially I wanted to do a message in a bottle invite to a welcome cocktail hour. The idea just evolved into doing it as the welcome letter instead because I wanted to have as few scheduled things as possible. I just wanted our guests to do what they want when they want. It's our wedding, but their vacation!

    The wording:

The wait is finally over! We made it to sun, fun and relaxation…. Welcome to beautiful Jamaica!  We are both so happy and are especially honored that you have traveled so far

to be part of our wedding celebration. There are no words to describe how much it means to us that you would take the time and expense to be here with us during this exciting time in our lives.

Please join us for dinner at Platinum restaurant Thursday at seven thirty. We will join hands in marriage Friday at four. Following the ceremony, we invite everyone to join us off the resort for sunset pictures and dinner. We look forward to spending the next few days with you, and hope this time will be as memorable for you as it will be for us!

So put your feet up, enjoy and donâ€t forget your sunscreen!!

    With love,

    Casey and Brian

PS  Please enjoy the “goodies†inside this welcome bag.

They are just a small token of our appreciation!

I found some cool parchment paper at a local store for 10 cents a page then burnt the edges.

    IMAG0268.jpg

Sorry its blurry. My phone is the worst.

I found glass bottles at Micheal's for $1.50 (I think that was the price) with a cork stopper. I really  wanted glass over plastic so I loooove these. Then I decorated them with some material that was actually used as decor on one of our wedding gifts.

    IMAG0264.jpg

I had to tape the letter together after rolling so the letter would come back out. Thank God I had an extra one cuz I got one stuck in one of the bottles.

    Our welcome letter!!!

I could not be any happier....I am so not the DIY type, but this wedding may have transformed me. I'm so glad I pulled this off! smile36.gif

  15. I used many different welcome letters from this thread for inspiration. Our welcome letter is a combination of those plus my FI's input as well as my own.

I am so excited! I finally figured out how to get the pics from phone to computer : )

The way that the escort tags turned out could not be any better! I was stressed out for a minute if I was going to be able to get them done or not, but once I started I finished over 100 in two days (most in one night). My dad finished the tray for them and I love that too. I found a cool looking piece of wood in his garage I liked for the sides and the bottom is just plywood from home depot.

    IMAG0263.jpg

I ordered the fish net from save-on-crafts.com. I think I might wrap it around the sides once the tray is filled with sand. I feel an amazing sense of accomplishmentwoot.gif
