  1. Getting everything in place, I have a lady from Vancouver island(where i live) coming to take our wedding pictures islandexpressionsphoto.com anyone getting married between nov.20-27th needing a photographer, im already paying her to stay at the resort- contact her if you like her photo's and im sure she would love to do some extra work while she's down there, she is AMAZING, her talent is incredible... just wondering, will the wedding co-ordinator ask at a later date which location we wish to have?(oceana or seaside) i didnt get that option when i was filling out the forms.
  2. Wow Kateddy, we are going the 20-27th and then doing honeymoon for 1 week in verana, just noticed this, guess alot of people probably like that idea! its BEAUTIFUL!
  3. Dont forget, they have Costco and Walmart in Mx, i know everyone thinks walmart and goes oh no cheap, but if you play around at home and find ways of dressing them up( or go to a different store to buy them in mx, ) you will get them for a decent price ANd you dont have to tote them there! Just an idea! Im going to be buying some of my decorations there but it depends how much wedding planning you really wanna leave yourself to do before the big day!! Hope this helps a bit!
  4. anyone else getting married end of november? we are leaving on nov. 20th and will be there till nov.27th
  5. Ya, i dont care for the special treatment i just want to make sure everything works out at least somewhat as planned, lol , weve decided to go with the free package and just do dinner at one of the restaurants semi private and im going to look into adding cocktail hour however we may just get a table with linen from walmart and buy champane and some drinks and do that on the beach. we have 40 people going and ALL of us are extremely laid back, my parents got married in puerto vallarta when i was 7 so my moms been there done that for figuring it all out once we are there and all, depending on the cake upgrade we may just get a baker to make the cake and we will go pick it up! then we can spend more money on our guest gift bags and party favors, we are going to get maraca's and put them on the seats for everyone they will be painted with our names and have a tag that will say shake me at the kiss, i stole the idea from elizabeth madina's photography page! Thanks for the info- helps alot to know there are others that go with the free package and make it all work how they want.
  6. Hello Ladies, I will be getting married at the DPV in November, and i am trying to figure out pricing, i cant justify paying for the wedding package that inc. 20 guest and then paying 65usd. pp for the extra people, as we have 30+ guest who will be attending im sure after all is said and done, i will end up paying over $3000 just on that, before any taxes are added, anyways, my concern is- with the free package i am sure we will not get above and beyond treatment, and that is fine, my sister in law to be is doing her wedding planner course here in canada and is going to help me arrange all the little details that i will buy here at home and bring there to dress it up, or buy in mexico, however im concerned about the free package not including enough chairs for all guest- do we have to pay extra if there are extra guest just for seating for the ceremony? and has anyone else done the free package? What did/are you doing for dinner if you have the free package? I know i must seem really cheap but the fiance and i are trying to organize going to jamaica for a week directly from mexico and need to work that into the buget. as well as all our guest are extremely laid back, we dont care if everything is set up and organized to the T for us... thats what mothers are for, or at least thats what she says. anyone get the free package have any pictures of what to expect the ceremony to look like without paying for extras? What you did to dress it up( if it was needed at all?) YOUR HELP WOULD BE AMAZING LADIES... Thank you! Bailey
