SPRAY TANS Hi ladies My daughter has been working (started in January) at the tanning salon I've gone to for years!! Just this past weekend she got her first spray tan and it didn't work out as well as expected...lol I'm guessing it takes some practice to get the routine down to have a nice even tan but I'm going to stick my standup!!! Another thing, a photographer at a bridal show I recently attended, mentioned that spray tans may look orange in photos. Something else to consider. Everytime I have gone away somewhere tropical, I have always gotten a nice base to prevent burning ...and its worked for me so far. Norma

I'm trying to figure out who exactly it is Krysta...lol Many videographers have posted over at the ME & MC facebook pages but not sure if any of them are the resorts. Info I recieved from our WC was Bright Light Productions is the house videographer. But many videos have only the person's name.
-
If our guest list wasn't so small, I probably would have asked someone. But I hate asking people for favours...lol Quote: Originally Posted by beachbum21 What about having one of your guests film it? That's what we're doing.

That is exactly my worry right now....I would hate to regret not going through with it, and I DO want it! Especially viewing all these fabulous videos that keep popping up!!! The package you have is what I'm looking for...getting ready and ceremony, to share with those that couldn't make it to the Dominican. I like your thinking Janet!!! I'm the type of person that would watch it over & over too...lol Could you send me the details? And I would love to see your video, Thanks for offering.

HELP!! Been on the fence about hiring a videographer for the wedding, but now I really want too!!! But I'm so concerned about having to pay the $300 vendor fee or resort charges. Especially since I'm dishing that out for our photographer. Any advice ladies???? Thanks Norma

Hang in there Krysta You will find the photographer that was meant to take your photos. Like some of the other brides have mentioned, things happen for a reason, and it will all work out. Norma

Okay, the above post was for Mizpriya for finding her dress...not sure why the quote didn't show, and I can't seem to find a delete option...lol

Hi Manda123 Can you direct me to where exactly you posted your items. I've been searching but not having much luck. Thanks Norma

I am so overwhelmed with all the wonderful comments. Thank you ALL! I love you ladies!!! My dress was meant to be. I saw it online and fell in love with it. The owner of the Bridal Boutique went above and beyond to get me a sample to try on. I couldn't see ordering a gown I've never tried on or even seen. Tried on 5 other gowns but nope...the Maggie Sottero I had my eye on was the one. Removed the shoulder strap and added a thin blingy belt. My favourite feature of this gown is the corset closure, I find corsets so romantic and sexy Found out that this gown has been discontinued...ordered it just in time before it would disappear from their collection. Again , Many Thanks for your comments, you all made me smile!!! Hugs Norma

Hellooooo Brides!!!!! I have been so busy lately I've been finding it hard to get online. I couldn't believe I had 98 posts to catch up on this thread alone. But...I had to make a point of getting online and sharing something with you....MY DRESS IS IN Wasn't expecting it till January and my bestfriend had to coax me to go try it on. (not happy with the scale lately) Well....here it is.......

Welcome!!! We chose the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana because we became engaged there This, plus actually being able to experience the resort made our decision very easy. I just took a quick look at the package pricing on both resorts...and WOW...they have really jumped in price since we booked (back in June). I hope they come down in price so you are able to go with your desired location. But if not...your day will still be perfect, because you'll be with your man, family and friends...and thats all what matters when it comes down to it. Keep us posted on how things go. Norma Quote: Originally Posted by ceciliag62 So when I joined this forum I decided to read through the whole thread. I'm proud to day I'm on page 94. Woohoo!! I'm getting there and I'm taking notes. Talk about informative. I'm feeling very discouraged at the moment because I've fallen in love with a hotel that is out of our price range I'm really in love with Majestic Colonial. But for our June wedding the best price I can find is $1365 and we're trying to stay as close as possible to $1200. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I win the lottery but I don't think it's going to happen. Time for a reality check. Don't you just hate those. So....For all of you who have already picked your hotel. Which hotel did you pick and why?

Canadian Girl & MichCraw: Its actually going to be imprinted onto our mug that we'll be including in our OOT bags. The paper idea as a wrap around is a great idea though!!! Yunric: We are getting the mugs from a local company that specializes in promotional products, trophies, business cards, custom apperal etc... I got the idea from another Bride here a BDW so I looked into it. Because they order so much they are able to pass along the the lowest per mug price. If I would order it on my own, I'd be paying $3.99/mug....going directly through this promotional company I only pay $3.49/ mug and the imprint set up fee. Best thing...NO SHIPPING CHARGES or CUSTOMES!!! I approve the design I helped create, they place the order and in a couple weeks...I simple pick it up at their shop when they recieve it. Here is the link to the company that will be doing our mugs. http://www.esppromo.com/product.asp?pid=6748&cid=92 I will definately post a pic once I get the finished product!!! Norma

The final layout....the one we're going with......*drum roll please*

Would love to see the ideas you came up with for your mugs Leigh. Never thought a travel mug would cause me so much indecisiveness...LOL Will most definately post pics when they arrive. Thanks for your input

Big Thank you to all the Brides that commented on my mug posting last week. Still haven't commited to a layout as of yet...but getting closer!!! Kat2012 & Tori: Pretty sure I'm going to go with the starfish graphic as I just adore those creatures and it is a big part of our theme. Allie2012: The palm tree IS much more elegant and my FI would agree with your choice to go with it Janet1480: Please...no insult taken at all. I love that everyone is being so honest with me. Both you and Allie2012 agree that it is more elegant...and its true, but damn that starfish is cute...lol You mentioned in your posting that you are in graphics. I sent an attatchement of starfish (from my wedding invitation) to see if that graphic could be put on our mug. I was told she couldn't use it beacause of the format. She needs vector files & what I sent were digital files. Fine for paper but can't be used on a mug. You wouldn't hapen to know if it could be changed to the required files needed???? I think we are going to go with the third layout...with a little tweak. Exchanging the "Eat & Drink..." with " To Have & To Hold...To Keep Your Drink Cold". Will need to see that proof before I commit I

My goodness Tori, you're just as bad as me!!!! LOL I keep on changing my mind when I look at my options too long. I "thought" I was sold on "Eat, Drink & Be Married"...BUT...I'm really liking the "To Have & to Hold..To Keep Your Drink Cold". Putting the "Cheers" on a tag instaed is a great idea too...but there's a lil something in me that wants our names on that mug!! Haha You were help!!! 99.9% sure I'm going with the "To Have & To Hold...To Keep Your Drink Cold"

Your gown is gorgeous and you look stunning in it!!! Congrats on the weight loss..I know all too well the hard work that goes into reaching your target weight. Keep going...you'll succeed!!!
-
Thank you all so much!!! The graphic designer said she liked the starfish better because everyone seems to use the palm trees, and it was refreshing to see something different. Now as I sat here this afternoon looking at what I had....I satrted to become creative....*YIKES*...and e-mailed her some of my thoughts. Within an hour she had a few more options with my ideas in place. Looking for your help once agin wonderful ladies!!!! The imprint will be wrapped around a 17oz stainless steel tumbler in black ink. norma_and_ian_wedding[1].pdf tumbler.pdf

Beautiful job on the OOT bags!!! Great idea to label the mugs with names. Might use that idea myself Quote: Originally Posted by MichCraw Just posted on the OOT bag thread however thought I'd post my final pic of a bag with the goodies that went inside it!
