  1. Congratulations. Thanks for the review. Can we see pics? Just got a couple of questions if you don't mind. What sort of confetti did you take? What sand ceremony kit did you take and how did you get it there and home again? Did you get your documents translated before you went?
  2. Congratulations Emily. Great to read your review and your pictures are beautiful. Sorry to hear you had rain though. Think I might be risking rain in November. Just a few questions if you dont mind helping Did you do the document translations? Did you give your WC the ribbon for your bouquet or did they put it on? Where did you get the suits from? Were you given various options for the musician? I have seen on here that people have had the musician play at the meal and in the lobby bar before dinner and Jazmin is telling me this is against hotel policy and we can only have them at the ceremony. Also I have asked if there are any other options to the guitar she has offered me and she said no. Yet you had a saxophonist. I think she is telling me porkies.
  3. I have just seen a pic on tripadvisor of comfy double loungers and it was described as the exclusive area. Does anyone know where this is and who it is for?
  4. Thank you Tlseege Do you know if they play televised sports games at the sports bar? The England football team (soccer) have a match the day after we arrive.
  5. Yea I felt the same. It is a worry that you different things from different sources. Maybe some previous UK brides will read this and reassure us. I have read somewhere on here of at least 2 people who had the legal ceremony and did not require the translations. I think one was from Canada but the other was definitely from the UK. Like I said it may be different for your deed poll document.
  6. Hi, Thomas Cook told me I need everything translated and apostled etc which would have cost about £200. See below for what Jazmin has told me 'Thank you for the marriage application, these are the only 3 documents you need to present, no translation, no any additional document. 1).- Valid passport (English are fine) 2).- Tourist card (are the ones that you going to get after arrival to our country at the Airport), " and please make be aware of the importance to bring this card complete (no broken because If it is not able to read then will need to come back to the airport in Cancun for a new one with extra charge) 3).- Blood test be done here at our Medical Center at the Hacienda Doña Isabel that is at the main entrance of our 3 resorts Note, the 4 witnesses need to present valid passport + touristic card (please make sure your card have the complete number of code on top " it is like 11 numbers behind a cod bar"' I have checked this by googling the info and it is correct for this particular state in Mexico and other UK brides on this page have told me the same. We are having the legal ceremony. I think the requirements are slightly different though if either person has changed their name or been divorced so this may be why she has told you something different to us. Sorry I do not know any more than that.
  7. Sorry everyone. I don't know why my message has appeared so many times.
  8. I cannot open the wording but will google it to find something. Sand Ceremony.pdf
  9. Just found this post on the website for those of you who are into crafts http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/74094/diy-sand-ceremony-frame i am not unfortunately and am having difficulty finding a frame in the UK. Shame because I love the idea.
  10. Do you have words said whilst you are doing this? And did it cost extra to the hotel/registrar?
  11. It is not included in the price of my wedding package bought with Thomas Cook because I have been told it is payable locally.
  12. I don't know what this includes. It is just legal fees. Like you would have to pay if you got married in the UK. This does not apply if you are having a symbolic ceremony.
