aaaahhhh thanks girls!!! I really LOVE it!! Oh and I made a mistake lol 26 days til the wedding but only 23 DAYS until we leave!!! It is coming up so fast! Alex you are almost there too. You will be going only 12 days after me and then I will be jealous of you because my trip will be over! Oh and i think you will love the Rondoval Suite. We almost booked that!

Alex: Looks like you had a great time on your hen night!! So happy for you!!! Good idea on the hair/makeup I was actually thinking about that this weekend wondering if that is enough time. I think I will move it up to noon. 3 hours should be enough time but I don't think 2 hours would be enough. The dress fitting went great and I still totally LOVE the dress!!! The picture doesn't do it justice because you can't see all the beadwork and rhinestones on it. I think it will be beautiful reflecting off the sun. Still looking for a veil but going out this weekend and I'm sure I'll find what I'm looking for. Oh and 26 days til we leave!!!!

Hi Everyone...gosh have been just so busy. My son is on two baseball teams so on top of everything else we pretty much are at his games every night. He had a fabulous game last night and got the game ball (MVP). I'm picking up the wedding dress on Saturday!!! Everyone say a little prayer for me that it isn't still tight LOL. I am so sore today because Bob and I did a 6:00 a.m. bootcamp workout yesterday and OMG!!! LOL but I did love it...he hated it but is willing to give it a shot again I have always enjoyed working out; just stepping it up for Antigua. Nancy: Welcome to the site and congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Some of us are still in the planning process and getting ready and others as you can see have just gotten back and have been so helpful with the information coming back. Sarah: How are the newly weds doing ??? I read your review on trip advisor. Great review and you have been such a help to us. THANK YOU!!! I got the Butler list and thanks so much! We are going to put our requests in and try to use them to make our stay even more enjoyable but we may get out there and like you said not really need them as much. Your pictures all look so much fun. I have been on trip advisor reading all the reviews and it is so wonderful that almost all of them are so good. Really a lot of info there. Just so exciting. Alex: I am with you on the whole new job thing. I HATE starting a new job! I hope it calms down for you. You will really be ready for Antigua by then. Your veil sounds beautiful. I am looking for one with some crystals or something on it too to try to catch the sunlight. I'm a romantic too lol. I know you can't wait to get your dress. We are staying in the Mediterranean Honeymoon Sunset Penthouse One Bedroom Oceanview Suite LOL. We have a butler and concierge. I don't know why it would have both??? but it does. Those suites are either located on the 6th floor of the Cypress tower or the 4th floor of the Almond Building. I called Sandals yesterday and put in a request to have our room in the Cypress Tower. On the map it just looks like it is a better view of the ocean and it is higher up too. I also read somewhere that it is $30 to have your dress steamed which isn't bad at all. I have hair and make-up at 1:00 p.m. and then wedding is at 3:00 p.m. Hopefully it won't rain!!! I wonder what they do if it is raining? I wish these WCs were all on the same page because she did not even give me an option of a $375 cd package So worried about the photography but maybe shouldn't over worry about it. Oh another thing: My friends/family/coworkers are throwing us a big wedding shower the week before we leave, and I found on the Sandals site that you can do a registry with them. So...we set it up where they can buy an excursion or spa packages or put money towards our trip where we can use it for photography or anything we want. I am so excited about that because we have everything and this way our friends/family can get us a gift which we truly will be able to enjoy and have fun with. So, just wanted to pass that on to you guys in case you hadn't seen it. Hope everyone is doing well! I won't give you our countdown today LOL!!

Hi ladies! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We were so busy and had a nice cookout with our "Brady Bunch" for Father's Day I pick up the wedding dress on Saturday with my daughter and my soon-to-be step-daughter. Lets hope it fits! We have 30 days until we leave and I just can't stop counting down the days. I know we are probably driving everyone crazy with our countdown but we are so flipping excited. I have decided I am going to wear a veil so just have to find one now at a reasonable price. Thanks Sarah for all the info. I got confused with the dinner. Were you guys in a Butler suite? and if so, any recommendations on how to use the Butlers? I read somewhere to let them know ahead of time what we want and it will be ready by our arrival Just keeping busy now and working out like crazy to get ready for those bikinis

Thanks Sarah I will look into it here to see about a refresher course. My certification is through PADI but I got certified in Okinawa, Japan about 20 years ago and haven't gone on any dives in like 18 years so I don't even know if I have a record of it. If we have to get totally certified all over again might just stick to snorkeling expecially since you said the diving wasn't fabulous. I think we might go ahead and just pay for the $500 small package of photos and then at least we have the photographers for sure. Still debating the video??? Are you getting the video Alex?? Also not sure I want to spend the extra money on the ocean front private dinner if you don't think it is worth it. Did you use the spa for anything. I am booked for hair and makeup and we are really wanting to do the couples massage.

Sarah the review is soooo helpful. You said you didn't pay for pictures ahead of time. So how did you do it? Ebony said we had to purchase some sort of package in advance in order to have the photographers so we were worried that we wouldn't have photographers booked if we didn't do that, but it sounds like you still had the photographers and made your decisions afterwards. We have debated the video too? Did you get scuba qualified over there? and if so, how much was that? I used to be Scuba qualified but it's been 20 years. Your pictures look so fun and I know your guests must have had a fabulous time. We cannot wait!!!

Nancy that dress is beautiful. I think the dress is the hardest thing to pick out. I have changed my mind so many times but finally a few weeks ago found the one and it actually made me cry when I put it on. I knew instantly that was the one. Nothing like waiting til the last minute. I will pick it up next week and post a picture. Trying to decide now how to wear my hair and whether or not to use a veil. We are having our wedding at Sandals Antigua. We leave July 20 and wedding is July 23rd. Not too much longer We are also doing the BB package with the sand ceremony and everyone has told us we can wait to make the decisions so you still have plenty of time.

Most of the resorts have gyms. We are going to be on the island 3 days before our wedding too. I have decided I am going to work out the days leading up to the wedding and eat lots of fruit. We may get our drink on a little but are really trying to save it until the wedding and after so there is NO BLOATING!!!

Thanks I have started bodypump (a weight circuit training workout - I LOVE it) at my gym at 6:00 a.m. and then a late night work out with my fiance. That on top of eating right should be good. I hope. I am a firm believer in the working out part I just don't think you can get the same results without it. Need to tone up this tushy for 9 days in a bikini LOL. One day at a time.

Alex: I was just planning on hanging it on the plane in the garment bag. Don't know anything about the travel box. Do you think that would be better??? Still trying to decide on whether or not to wear a veil though. I know my fiance would like me to wear one. Are you wearing a veil? We picked up our wedding rings this weekend and just waiting on passports to come in. Seems to be taking forever ... hmmmm. I need to check on that. I keep having this feeling like I am forgetting something...I know these next few weeks are going to fly by.

Hello everyone ... We are getting married at Sandals Antigua on July 23 and leaving on the plane July 20th. I really, really want to lose 15 pounds by the 20th. I purposely got my dress a little snug to encourage me along so now I really need to do it. Let's just say it zips but god help me if I bend over LOL. I already work out quite a bit but I need to step up those workouts and really cut the calories. It is very hard to do when we are stressing over everything and running around doing all the planning and no time to cook so we eat out. No more eating out!!

Hi Alex, I hope the job is going better and you are less stressed. Weather here is still quite warm and humid - lots of evening thunder storms which is typical this time of year. My oldest graduated high school on Wednesday and he immediately thought he was grown and decided to stay out all night with no word to his mum. He found out that you can still get grounded over the age of 18 LOL. We have been quite busy though. It is certainly making the time fly by. I can't wait for it to get here but then don't want it to be over too fast either. Picking up my dress in a little over a week. Excited to put it on again Sarah should be back home by now - I'm so excited to hear how everything went for her. I just want it to get here and then I want time to stand still.

47 days until we get on the plane!!! Sorry Alex, I didn't mean to scare you lol, but wanted to get it to you. I pick up the dress around the 17th of this month. They may let me take pictures now since I have paid for it but they wouldn't before. I will get a pic up one way or the other. For our girls day/night we are having massages, mani/pedis and then out on the town for drinks, drinks, oh and more drinks hahaha. We are renting a hotel room downtown so no worries about driving Can't wait!!! Heather, so glad you had a wonderful time. Alex and I are waiting patiently, well not so patiently, for our turn How was the photography? Can't wait to see the pictures!!

Another warm day here in Virginia ... yesterday got up to 97 and suppose to be even hotter today. I may need to go to Antigua to cool off Heather I hope you had a wonderful time!!! I can't wait to hear all about it. I am wishing I was there right now.

OMG it has been a busy 7 days with family stuff and everything else. Had a fabulous holiday weekend with lots of sun!! Well ladies went to try on "the dress" and loved it however was told that the soonest it would come in is 12 to 15 weeks!!! I ONLY HAVE 7 WEEKS UNTIL WE GET ON THE PLANE!! So to make a long story short, I had a wonderful and very helpful consultant who pulled about 15 dresses for me to try and the very last one made me cry when I put it on. It was the one. I guess they're right when they say you will know when it is the right dress. It is beautiful. They wouldn't let me take pictures at the salon but will post some when I pick it up. I'm sooooo excited Sweetness: I hope you had a fabulous wedding and can't wait to hear all about it!!! and Pictures!!! Sarah: I know you won't read this because you are probably on a plane right now...I wish I was heading there with you I know you will have a wonderful wedding with lots of happy tears. I can’t wait to hear all about it and see lots of pictures. Can’t wait to hear about the scuba diving too as we want to do that when we go also! Alex: I guess it's just you and me girl LOL...7 weeks seems so long right now. I am going to email you the cover page that you are suppose to fax with your documents. It has everything listed there that you need to fill out and send and it also has the fax number on it. I will forward Ms. Garcia's email so you can ask her to confirm everything is good. I am the same way I would rather do too much and make sure that we are okay than not and get there and find out we can't get married because someone didn't do something. Oh and the smores thing. Go get you a box of graham crackers, a hershey bar and a bag of large marshmallows. put the marshmallow in between the graham crackers with the hershey bar in between also and zap it in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds...and enjoy:) Not the same as over a fire but you get the jest! My bachelorette party will be the weekend of the 4th of July as that is when my best friend is coming into town. I can't wait. I hope you get to have you girls day even though it was canceled but I know you will have a blast on your hen night!!! We will be in Antigua before too long

Hi ladies...we have been just so busy. My son had prom on Saturday night...I cried. They grow up way too fast. Alex: I sent our documentation to our WC a couple weeks ago via the fax number they gave and I also emailed them to make sure and I received an email confirmation back from a Ms. Garcia saying all things were in order and we needed to hand carry originals with us. I would email your wedding coordinator to make sure they received everything. Oh haha and smores are these delightful little treats where you roast a marshmallow over a fire and put it in between two graham crackers and a piece of chocolate so the warm marshmallow warms the chocolate and makes it all gooey...yum yum . I'm sure you have heard of it but maybe call it something different. We love to do them in the fire pit on our back deck at home. And your girls day will be so much fun. A couple of my friends are taking me for a whole girls day too with spa and then dinner/drinks. I am so looking forward to it and my best friend of 30 years is coming out for it too. Cannot wait!! As I said before I had a trash the dress moment in which I decided I hated my dress lol... I love how it looks in the picture but as you know we just don't know what it will look like until we put it on. Sarah you will definitely have to give the locket to her early because it made me tear up just reading it...it is such a sweet gesture so your mom and you will definitely be sobbing and you cannot have puffy eyes for the wedding. You crack me up about the inviting people thing LOL we didn't invite anyone because we were afraid of who would actually decide to come haha. Our best friends were actually planning on being there at first but her mother was battling cancer and she spent so much time and money flying back and forth from here to NY until her mom passed away last month and they just don't have the time or means to go now but we are looking forward to it just being the two of us too. We are having a nice reception when we return for friends and family. I guess I need to talk to Ebony, my WC, but she has been awfully quiet lately. I think too once we didn't buy in on all the extras she got quiet all of a sudden. Hopefully the WC who is attached to us at the resort will be good.

Gosh it has been such a busy week here at work. Yes, Sarah we are getting so excited...64 days:). You don't have long and all of your plans sound so amazing. I know you will have a beautiful wedding. I have raised my 3 kids pretty much by myself, they are 19, 17 (both boys) and 15 (my little girl) and it would be such an honor to me for my daughter to ask me to walk her down the isle one day when she gets married (in about 20 years lol) . That is so sweet and I know it means a lot to your mom. I am 41 and this is our second marriage for both of us. We were both so very young the first time. We don't have any family coming with us so it will be just him and I which is nice but hearing about all your guys' plans it makes me kind of wish we had invited some friends or family. Alex I love the idea about the parasols and we went out tux shopping this weekend and he is going to wear a lighter color tux instead of the black. Thanks for the advice. We purchased our plane tickets last weekend and are flying from Richmond, Va to Newark, NJ (1hr15min) and then connecting to fly from NJ to Antigua (4hr30min). We had been procrastinating on the plane tickets and then got nervous because I checked flights and on the return flight the only thing they had available was a return flight for over $6,000 taking us from antigua to greece, then to italy, then to UK and then over to New Jersey and to Richmond. I panicked and called Continental and they were able to find us a return flight in the normal price range. To any other Antigua brides ... do not wait too long to get your plane tickets. We are doing the Beautiful Beginnings package...does anyone know if we can upgrade the flowers and what the cost is about. I'm not sure I am liking the magenta bouquet... Also is anyone doing the romantic dinner on the beach for $170. I know with the package they set us up for a nice couples dinner in a restaurant of our choice but we can purchase the dinner on the beach just not sure if it is worth it.
