  1. All you GPS brides don't worry about anything, once you are there everthing is taken care of!!! The WC's are excellent, thought not very good at getting back to emails. They meet with you the day after you arrive and discuss everything, and yes changes can be made at that time. We were suppose to get married in the sunset gazebo, I changed my mind the day before the wedding and she had me book in the riviera gazebo with no problems at all. The riviera gazebo is in the open and is far more beautiful then the other gazebo, we had no problems with the vendors being in any of the pictures. It is less private, but like I said far more beautiful, the sunset gazebo is up against a wall and is cramped and less fancy. I had everything done at the resort, my flowers, cake, pictures..............I don't know why anyone whould have to bring in anything from outside the resort, everyone is fast, professional, and they take care of every detail so you don't have to. After out ceremony the resort photographer took awesome pictures of all of our wedding guest, then took us aside for out pictures, his name was Marco and he was amazing the pictures turned out better then I ever expected!!!! We then moved to the riviera platnium lounge for drinks and such. If some of your guest have not book platnium, they will have problems getting into these areas.............I definatly recommed platnium all the way!!!! We had no hidden charges, it was all the way it was suppose to be. So for all you brides that are in panic mode all I can say is chill out everything will run very smoothly, just relax and enjoy it!!!! If anyone had any question let me know!!!!
  2. I choose the symbolic package, for $1500 and the extra's keep piling up. I feel the same if I would have known all the extra charges I definitly would have looked somewhere else. My ceremony starts at 4:00 and then we have the photographer booked for the basic photo package. My fiance and I have decided we would like to book a sunset catamarain for an evening cruise before supper at 9:00. After that I think we will check out the live entertainment in the lobby, and maybe the disco. I was going to book the cocktail hr after the wedding but we are staying at an all inclusive, why should we have to pay for drinks..................are guess have no problem running to one of the bars to pick up drinks.................plus I want everyone to stick around for pictures. How has communication with the wc been? We are leaving in 2 days and I haven't talked to her in 3-4 months.................
  3. We booked for 4:00 in one of the gazebos, not sure which one. What are you doing after you wedding, do you have anything planned? Are supper isn't till 9:00.
  4. So the wedding planning is going great, finally heard from Elizabeth and I am well reassured that everything will be awesome!!! So our official date is January 26 2012, there are 30 ppl 3 kids. Does anyone know where the cocktail hour takes place, I was hoping it's on the beach that way friends and relatives will stick around for pictures. Our ceremony is booked for 4:00 and we are not booked in for supper till 9:00. We were hoping to rent a catamaran for a couple of hours in between, does anyone know if the WC would schedule this or is it something that we will have to do on our own? I am also stuck with song selection, we have a friend playing acoustic guitar, but I'm really torn about whether to bring the ipod..............................can anyone recommend some songs? Thanks all!!!
  5. I recieved an email 3days ago from Elizabeth, she said Mara was no longer with the resort and she would be their to take care of all my plans. I have to resend my forms again though.........it's the third time I've sent them in, kinda frustrating. My wedding date has been confirmed at least.
  6. Hey all, I just recieved an email today that informed me Mara is no longer working at the resort, and a women named Elizabeth was taking over her clients. Has anyone else heard of this? She says my date is confirmed, but I have to resend my form with all my choices. This resort seems to have problems with it's WC's...........hmm.
  7. Thanks, they sure don't give you much information. And to get a hold of someone is impossible.
  8. So my wedding is booked a the Grand Sunset Princess, Jan 26/2012. A friend of mine who plays guitar has offered to play 3 songs for me, does anyone have any suggestions? Also thinking about bringing my ipod, I'm not sure what it will sound like played outside at the beach gazebo, will it be loud enough if its windy?
  9. Just wondering if anyone knows the price for the cocktail hour after the ceremony?
