HI Ya'll Anyone getting married at El Dorado Maroma for 2012? I have a few questions out there for past brides who got married at EDM. 1. I'm planning on having 25-30 guests, has anyone done the option of semi-private dinner reception? 2. With such a small group, did any of you guys still have the first dance, father/daughter dance etc? Just because I think that would be a little awkward with such a small group? Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated! -Sarah

Hi All, Do you guys know what the fee is to bring an outside photographer? Is the resort really picky about that? My TA said that at some places you can just get them a "day pass" but not tell the resort that they're your photographer? That sounds a little iffy to me just because I'll have a "guest" who'll be photographing me. Does that make sense? If you guys experienced this please let me know! Thank you!

HI All, I am trying to decide between the El Dorado Maroma and the Secrets Maroma? I've read such great things about the Secrets Maroma but I haven't seen any reviews on El Dorado Maroma..so I wanted to hear all your thoughts on this place as well. Any advice is appreciated!

Hi Ladies! Congrats to all of you guys! I think after much research, my fiance and I have decided to have our wedding at Excellence Playa Mujeres April 14, 2012. We are in contact with our travel agent and hopefully by Monday will have our contract all set and done. This forum has been so helpful! I'm just a little worried for Yamina said that she has our wedding date "reserved" but it won't be final till we sign our contract with our TA. I really hope I'll be able to get the 5:00pm time slot and if not, I will be totally bummed. But hopefully we'll be able to work something out. Do you guys know what the weather is like in April? Hi Ladies! Congrats to all the April 2012 brides! I am also an April 2012 bride as well. The date that we've chosen is April 14, 2012 at either the Excellence Playa Mujeres, Casa Velas Boutique Hotel or the Playa Fiesta Beachclub hotel. Have you ladies heard anything about these two? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I've finally been able to narrow down venue/resorts and La Amada is the top choice =) So, my first question is where do I go from here? Should I contact the resort wedding coordinator who is Ileana? Or should I contact Gabi from Planner 1 Events or Denise from Tropical Wedding Experts? I've heard great reviews about both of these ladies. I am looking for someone to help me with basically everything from booking discount group rates for accommodation, airfare, and of course the wedding itself! Any advice will greatly be appreciated! And congrats to ya'll!
