I am sooo happy and excited for everyone. My colors are orange and sage. I just found out from Veronica the coordinator that we do not have to pay the $500 resort fee any longer for an outside vendor. The only fee you pay for the them is the day pass fee. Just send your coordinator their info b/c she needs to contact them and have them sign some kind of contract. I was reviewing the pricing for Claudia Rodriguez for photography and goodness, i can't believe how expensive she is. I might use Janine's photographer from New York; Nick, his photos are so beautiful. By the way, does anyone know how much Ivan charge for DJ'ing? Unfortunately I am still looking for my Dress, gotta lose some weight too. I just started the p90x so I hope that works lol. Have you guys found your dress yet? Sharon

This is what I found, one of the previous DRC bride's response. Hope that helps. You can see my slide show here: http://talkington.adventurephotosmx.com/ My advice: they will take as many pictures as you want for no extra charge, wedding day and before and after. Plan on buying them all for about $800 and have them come to everything, even just hanging by the pool, TTD, rehearsal, etc.

Anyone just got married recently, please share your whole experiences from Day 1 to the Day. I don't mind if it's long and detailed, those are the ones I enjoy reading the most. Sacrook, how is your planning going so far? Are you going to use their DJ and photographer or are you hiring one from outside? What colors did you decide on? Sharon

We are from Las Vegas but most of our guests are coming from California. Also they are running the promotion of buying every 5th room you get one free, so be sure to ask your Travel Agency about that. He just gave me a quote today for 7 nights with airfare for two around 2500 which is still cheaper than most other sights. FYI: I just spoke to Veronica the coordinator today and she said I can buy 3 of the love packages for the 60 guests. That might be cheaper to do b/c you get the xtra flowers and all the other stuff times 3. Just something to think about if you have more than 20 guests like us.

I emailed my coordinator Veronica about perhaps buying three of the love packages instead of one. If I am able to buy three of the love packages that would allow me to cater to 60 guests. I think because I found a loophole, she is unwilling to answer my questions. I feel like they pick and chose what they want to answer, it's so frustrating.

To future brides, have your guests book their trip early b/c as of yesterday the pricing has gone up by $500 dollars. Luckily most of my important guests have locked in their rooms and flights. The resort also have a buy 5 rooms get one free at this time which is honored by most Travel Agencies and online agencies. Does anyone know if they have an entertainment crew on the resort that takes you out to the clubs at night? I stayed at Dreams Cancun before and the entertainment crew take you a different club every night. Sharon

Hello Janine, I would love your excel sheet too if you can email it to me as well. [email protected] I love the lanterns, did you bring that or was that extra with the resort? I love your colors it's amazing. I am just curious if I am suppose to contact the DJ's and photograher or does the coordinator do that? I am planning on using their photographer so I am not sure what to do since the communication is so poor. So Happy for you:) Sharon July 17

Yes how was your groomsman introduced and who introduced them? I was thinking of fun ways to introduce our bridesmaid and groomsman as well. Was thinking about having them dance or something crazy. By the way, your dress is absolutely amazing and I love the flowers in your hair, where did you get it at?

Our wedding is July 17, I am curious as to when I need to decide on the DJ and photographer? I emailed Veronica but her response was she is busy with January weddings currently and she will answer all my emails and concerns in February. I enjoy all the past brides step by step preparation before their wedding, it definitely paint a better picture for me.

The 2000-2500 is for two sorry I didn't specify. That includes airfare and about 5-7 days at the resort. I think Bookit pricing is the best I've found so far. I have been emailing the coordinator regarding the free upgrade from a Honeymoon suite to the Master suite and this is her reply: " I received your mail, we are reviewing January´s and February´s weddings, I ´ll contact you within the first week of February, while I review your information. Thank you," They must be extremely busy down there. I am nervous about the whole reception and cocktail hour too. I emailed about replacing the cocktail hour and adding more guests to towards the reception and she said that she cannot tweek anything from the package. I will have about 60 guests, don't want to pay xtra for that cocktail hour........

From what the coordinator is telling me, if you bring an outside DJ or photographer it will cost you $500 for the day pass. If they have other ppl with them it will be an additional fee but not $500. I think it's quite insane, everything just adds up soooo quickly. If you find an outside vendor, just email the coordinator and ask her if those people are on their approve list. Hope this help Sharon

Hello I am using Destination weddings as well. I had a great coordinator at Destination wedding until they placed me with someone else. The lady that I am using currently at Destination Wedding is quite expensive, my guests are not happy. Instead of giving them the best pricing, she quoted really high so they all book their trips through Bookit.com. I am having about 50-60 guests coming to our wedding and about 40 of them have booked their trip through Max.Holley at bookit.comThe pricing is about 2000-2500 including airfare flying from San Jose California into Cancun for about 5-7 nights. My wedding coordinator at destination weddings was quoting my guests around 3k to 4k. We booked our trip through her but was informed if we canceled our trip then they would cancel the website that we have as well. I am still confused on which room to book, either preferred plunge pool, Honeymoon suite, or Master Suite. Thanks:)
