Thank you!! I'm starting to organize everyone's pictures tonight to start working on the slideshow. At least I have a bunch of flights this weekend to give me the time to work on it!
I used the 1.5" for stickers and labels in various places, and it's not as small as it sounds. I used it for gift bag stickers, sugar scrub tags, seals for my pretrip packets, etc.
I just realized I was supposed to post more info on the sugar scrubs when I got back. I'm sorry for the delay!
Supplies for each scrub jar
8 oz. clear round wide-mouth jars (http://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-9935/Jars-Jugs-Bottles/8-oz-Clear-Round-Wide-Mouth-Jars)
1 cup white granulated sugar
1/3 cup safflower oil
15-20 drops fragrance oil (soap-making aisle at craft store; I got a variety pack with lavender, vanilla, coconut, pink grapfruit, mango & melon)
I made 40 jars using 5 bags sugar and 1.5 big bottles of oil.
I made labels for the jars on shipping label paper, and tied a cardstock thank you tag to each jar with twine from Ace Hardware. The thank you tags said "Thank you for making my shower so SWEET!" since they were sugar scrubs.
Here are my templates for the labels and tags:

I got mine from Michaels, and they have them in a bunch of different sizes. Here is the punch that I used for the circle stickers (1.5"), it's nice because you can see through to what you're punching before you cut:

I set all my images to .1" less than the punch I was using so I'd have the slightest sliver of clearance around the tag/monogram.

I think i may have already asked, but what circle punch did you use to cut the monograms?i got one from Marha stewart, but u think it will have to go back, cause its the one that you have to press down(2x2)i think, but its really hard to see what im cutting.
also i have tried to position all the monograms in Microsoft word uniformly next to each other so i can print bunch per per page, but its coming out looking way too big, what size do you think i should save is as?thank you, thank you!post some pic from the wedding
I don't have all the pro pics yet, but I got a couple proofs yesterday...
I should have all pics by this weekend, and I'll be making a slideshow for our AHR, so I'll post more up asap!

Well, I started off with a circle in Powerpoint. I fit all my images and text within it and then messed with the type of circle to get dots or a colored circle. You can use word art to make arched lettering. Mostly I adapted other peoples images and templates and just tweaked and tweaked until I was happy.
Here are some monograms I used, there are some circles and arched lettering in there to get you started... Good luck!

Beautiful! Is it very heavy?

Glad this helped! Let me know if you have any questions! Good luck!I am in the process of making my 1st one. I just gained some helpful tips fro you. I think I need to start over again!!
I put mine in small vases, then in plastic bags, in my guest room closet. I did them super early also, but they worked out just fine. Keep them out of light and too much humidity and you should be ok! :-)Loved the bouquet! I'm not getting married until 2013 but i've already started collected the brooches and I actually ordered some from the same site you used. This was the best tutorial i've seen yet and i'm glad how you explained where and how you stored your bouquets, I have been worried about what to do with mine since i'm starting on it so early!

I just had my lunch reception at Iggy's at Bolongo bay on Tuesday and it was awesome. The food and service were great! The beach was quite rocky but the resort got great reviews from my family members who stayed there.

Hi everyone! We are in the car driving to Chicago from Miami, still in Florida so its going to be a long day. I'm still absorbing everything from our trip, mostly realizing pictures I missed like giving out the bags, darn it! The bags were a huge hit! The most used things were the bags themselves, lanyards, pashminas and sudoku books surprisingly. I didn't think they'd get used as much as they did. Anyway everyone loved them, I'm really glad I did them, and I'm sad and happy to be heading home :-)

Everything looks so great! You're going to have an awesome trip, congratulations!!

Adorable! I'm sure noone will notice.

EXPLAIN THIS TO ME PLEASE!!! We are leaving to drive to Florida in 30 minutes and my FI can't find his driver's license. We have his passport so going on the trip isn't a problem. Please pray for me that this is the worst thing that happens and that I don't KILL him in the next few minutes!!

Thanks, Koretta! We're leaving for Miami today!! I'm almost finished packing and I can't believe it!!

I may have misspoke - My printer might handle 60-80# metallic, it will not handle 110# metallic.
Good luck!! :-)

Aww you're leaving on my wedding day! Safe travels!I'll be back on Sunday April 8, at which point... you'll already be married with not a worry left! Hurray!
-
I used the starter bw/color cartridges and a little bit of another black cartridge to print 100 boarding passes (6 passes and a folder per invite, plus 18 pages of address labels).
I used 110# cardstock in my HP 3050A all-in-one printer. I think standard printers can usually handle 60-80# paper without a problem. I just really like the weight of the heavy paper.
My printer will NOT work with metallic cardstock though!!

Tomorrow is my last day of work and we leave on Thursday!! So excited!! All I have to do is some last minute errands to Target and Kohls and finish packing
When are you heading out?
-
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both of us! St. Thomas is looking a little iffy this weekend and next week also...Hey, if it rains, maybe you'll get one of those amazing 'in the rain' shots I've seen! Plus, rain on a wedding day is good luck! Sending you good thoughts!
-
Thanks, everyone! Three days of work left!!
-
Thanks, Jenny! I made about 100, give or take. Maybe 99?
Happy early birthday!!

Sign up for their emails. They send out coupons daily, practically, for postcards, hats, pens, shirts, rack cards, business cards etc. You'll have to pay for shipping and any image uploads, but the base models are all free!

I like the DIY process, so maybe I'm biased but I loved making my invitations, and the price worked out really well with a bit of research and shopping gradually with coupons.
I DIYed my boarding pass invitations. Here's the price breakdown:
- Boarding passes and monograms on belly bands: Snow White 110lb cardstock, www.cardsandpockets.com, $32/200 sheets
- Ticket jackets: Tabriz blue 110lb cardstock, www.cardsandpockets.com, $19/100 sheets
- Black cardstock for belly bands: 65lb, Michaels, $1.50/25 sheets
- Blue belly band ribbon: $24/6 rolls
- Envelopes: Nero (black) No. 10 envelopes, www.envelopperinc.com, $23.80/100 (nice heavy quality)
- Wraparound labels: full page labels, Staples, $6/25 sheets
Total cost: $106
Approximate cost per invitation: $ 1.06
The only thing that would increase this cost is the tools (glue/double sided tape, straight cutter, corner punch, bone folder and scoring board), all of which I had before I started but it could increase the cost a bit.

Check out www.cardsandpockets.com. They have the pocket folds, backing cards, insert cards, RSVP cards/envelopes in a million shapes, sizes and colors.
Here's their intro to pocketfold invitations:

Good luck! Those are beautiful!

have you tried just a basic straight cutter or rotary cutter? I guess it depends on what shape you're going for? Michaels has some big tag punches, but i dont know if they'd be big enough for your purposes.
