Cin that sucks! I totally have fears of that on my wedding day and I want to get them done right before I leave for MX or even at the spa there. I bite my nails sooooo bad so I need fake ones but will be sure to bring fake nail remover down with me!

I'm not sure if this has been brought up in this thread, i may have missed it... a lot of nail salons use a type of topcoat that always seems to get ruined by sunscreen! even acrylic nails i've done have been ruined on day 1 of a vacation because of sunscreen. i think there's a certain kind of topcoat that won't be ruined, but i cannot remember.

  2. My mom uses this stuff regularly and it has done a number on her nails. It does last quite a bit longer, but she's had some major problems when she broke a nail or wacked her finger on something.

I think AXXIUM is great!! BUT.....there is a big BUT...do not do this regularly.  I think it's awesome for a DW since it doesn't chip at all and lasts extra long, BUT after doing it for a couple of months, my nails really thinned out and began to hurt and get black and blues.  So, I will do it for my DW and that's it.

We are also getting married in St.Thomas. We are cruising with Carnival in Feb 2011 and are getting off the ship in St. Thomas and using Perfect weddings of St. Thomas. We are getting married just off the beach on Limetree/Bluebeards Beach. Let me know if you have an questions I can try to help you with!

Thank you so much! Nice to hear of another St. Thomas wedding. We're still debating doing a cruise wedding vs. DW. I'm worried about the cruise wedding because i hear there can be some logistical problems. We're just starting the process, but I will probably bug you at some point cheesy.gif

    thanks for the welcomes, everyone!

  4. Hi everyone, just got officially engaged last weekend and I'm excited to be planning my own wedding (planned my mom's and a friend's weddings over the past few years). We're thinking late 2012 for the date, but still TBD.

My fiance and I have been joking for months about going to St. Thomas to get married. We already know the resort we think we want - Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort outside Charlotte-Amelie. Anyone been here, planning to go here, etc?

We're also toying with the idea of doing a cruise wedding, but its still all up in the air. I've found some interesting threads so far of the pros and cons.

Looking forward to sharing with and learning from all you planners out there!
